This little fridge is fantastic. I bought it to store my cats medication in my bedroom where he usually is sleeping or watching birds. It fits perfectly on the shelf, and doesn’t seem to draw an excessive amount of power. It’s light weight but not going to tip over.And oh boy does it get cold.It’s not a freezer, but it keeps his meds cold enough that I have no qualms about storing them there, even his very pricy long term injectables, and it rivals how cold they stay in my actual fridge. I’m very impressed by it.The door also latches shut securely. It clicks shut so it won’t open if tipped and you have to pull the handle like a car door to unlatch it, so it’s quite secure and won’t accidentally get bumped and open, spoiling the meds.It is also very quiet. It DOES make noises but they are generally very quiet and would easily be drowned out by the white noise of a fan or anything else and doesn’t keep me awake despite it being right beside my bed. The cats water fountain makes more noise than this little fridge, and keeping it by my bed makes giving my cat his medication very easy. If this one gives up the ghost at some point I will absolutely buy another. But so far it seems durable and like it’s going to last!

So I am reviewing this product 2 years later and not waiting any longer. It was a funny gift for my youngest son. He loved it which made my heart melt. It was shipped fast and packaged so the item was shipped safely. Plug it in for easy installation. It doesn't take much wattage for those saying it will make my bill go up. This thing is too cute and take little to none of your electric..... if anything, it saves it. My son would stand in the fridge thinking of what to drink. Fridge open cold leaving and then electric to get it cold again. Verses a mini fridge that holds a enough choices and they can leave open to let them get warm if they want. This thing is a life saver. I haven't seen any water or leaking nor any ice buildup. It fits 6 cans but he always mixes it up few cans a bottle.... whatever works. I love the lack of teenage traffic to the kitchen. But best yet i unplugged it one day cleaning and he got mad. I said, "Now you know what I mean and there is food in my fridge." Point taken, thank you mini fridge. This was suppose to be a joke gift but it worked out giving responsibility but also let him stop and stand in my shoes. So with that being said... This little fridge is probably opened and closed 20 times a day minimum. It's been plugged in for 2 years non stop. Last month he brought it to me and said it won't work its making noise. I said do u clean it? Vacuum the vent like your Xbox? So he cleaned it and gave it a break for a day and put it going again and it is fine. My life would not be the same without this little fridge. So just like any electronic.... if it is a good item and you maintain it... it will last. It's perfect for my story but also for a woman makeup vanity, a garage with a few drinks for the guys, even thought about a taking it for him when we travel. You have to get one of these. I want to buy one for my mom to put her medications in that need to be in the fridge so it is right where she needs them. The use for this little guy could go on and on. Perfect. 5 stars. Always on a tight budget with limited income and this baby was well worth it and it made the best Christmas story to talk about for years.

I bought this mini fridge to keep in my bathroom for medications that need to be refrigerated. It worked great until it didn't. I've had it for almost exactly 2 years and it just quit working; the fan won't turn on and it's not cooling. I guess that's not bad for $40. Things just are not built to last anymore.

2023: I think this would be perfect for skincare/cosmetics or keeping a few drinks chilled, but it’s definitely less cold than a regular mini fridge. I’m using it to store food for my gecko and while it works well to keep insects dormant, her paste mixtures tend to dry out in a few days whereas it would last a week in the larger fridge. It’s perfect for my limited space though, and works well enough if I make smaller batches of mixtures. Plus I know this isn’t exactly a normal use of this fridge lol!Its buzzing noise is also a bit loud for something so small. But it looks nice, exactly as pictured, and the tiny size is perfect for my shelf!2025 edit: After 2 years it completely died. Not bad for the price, I guess, but still disappointed. Based on other reviews, it seems like these things all have about a 2 year lifespan so keep in mind that they aren’t built to last.
