The sand was just as described. Big bags, brilliant colors, and fine texture. As an art teacher, I’ve used many kinds of sand for sand painting. I think this is the best quality I’ve found.

I love the variety of vibrant colors. The sand itself it fine and worked really well for my tie dye project.

I ordered this after trying to save money and get a kit that had colored sand and bottles to fill for about $8 or $10. Save yourself the frustration, and just get this and use your old jars from jams and sauces. The other purchase had barely enough sand to do a real project, but the amount of sand in this set will be enough for many filled jars. The colors are vibrant and there are many shades. The kids also had fun mixing colors to make new combinations. The sand comes packaged in individual bags, so we poured each into clean peanut butter jars for long term storage. It was well packed for shipping and nothing was damaged. I was concerned that getting a fine grain sand might be damaging to our lungs if it was too fine, but this did not produce dust when we poured it. I would definitely buy this again. I have not tried it yet as a base for succulents, so I don’t know if the colors will run when wet.

Arrived with all the bags intact. Beautiful colors. Grandkids used it for filling bottles with various colors. Sand flowed freely and was a big hit!
