Great product
This little forge is great. It heats up fast and really works well. The first time I ran it I put a piece of tooling steel in it. It was up to forging temperature fairly fast for it's size. I haven't really had a chance to give it a good workout but from what I can tell it's going to work out perfect for the type of work I'm going to use it for. Most of the time I'm working with softer steel but I wanted to test it with tooling steel. From what I seen with the tooling steel I should have any problems with the softer steel I use most of the time.

Decent little forge
For the price it's great. The burner is great and super easy to adjust. It will get hot enough to forge weld small stock. There are a couple of downsides. It's a bit smaller than I'd like, could be a bit wider. The refractory coating they give you is garbage. Mines been fired up and used a couple dozen times and the coating is already coming off in spots. Part of it is do to it being so small, if you even bump the side the refractory just falls off. Get some satanite to coat it with. My big forge is coated with satanite and it's held up for years. So overall it's a decent forge, gets nice and hot, is built well but in all honesty if I had to do it over I'd go with the Mr volcano just for the extra width.

Exactly what I needed
This is a nice, small forge. I bought this for small projects that do not warrant starting my coal forge. Set up is simple and fast. I am building a stand for it to make it more comfortable to use. I am skeptical about obtaining forge welding heat, but it does fine heating thin material (3/8" or less). For a beginner blacksmith or as a secondary forge, I would recommended it.If you want a big forge for making damascus, this isn't it. It is small. It is affordable, and more than suitable for small projects. I had no issues with the burner, or other components.Edit: After some minor adjustments, this forge is more than capable of forge welding heat. The chamber is too small for many projects that require forge welding, but it is nice to have the capability. 6/5 stars.

Great value for a beginner.
This is my first attempt at any type of blacksmithing work using anything besides a torch for heat. The main reason I got this forge was to make forged hooks to hang our cast iron cookware. After researching forges I chose this one because it comes with the ridgeizer already applied. It also comes with refractory coating that you apply. I have not applied it yet. I was to anxious to try it out. In less than an hour after opening the box I had fired it up and started with low heat and built the heat gradually. The fire brick that came with the forge felt a little damp when unwrapped, so I wanted to to dry gradually. Within 4 hours of opening the box I had made several hooks. I even heated the tongs I had purchased to adjust them to better suit my usage. So far I have only run the forge at 5 PSI gas pressure. That was plenty of heat for what I was doing. It will run up to 21 PSI. The attached photos are of what was done in a total of about 5 hours by a first timer. All I can say is that this is a great little forge for a beginner. Just remember it is for smaller work. You aren't going to produce a great sword using this forge for your heat source. Great value for for money.

I’d buy it again
I wanted a small and cheap forge. I don’t have a lot of room in my garage. What I got was a small and cheap forge. This thing is pretty neat. It gets hot enough to weld and will also heat up your garage. It doesn’t use much gas either. My son and I had a fun time messing with it and making pointy objects. Nothing fancy just practice pieces. Flames come out the front and back pretty far so be aware of that. It comes with 2 extra gas port nozzles. The one that came in it was clogged with something I’m sure I could have cleared out but I just changed it with the provided tool. One of the legs on is is shorter than the other 3 but I don’t care. It’s a forge for my garage. It will get rusty. It will get banged around. When it breaks I’ll either buy another or build another. If you want to make things in a forge buy it. Works great for my needs. Read the description though. The opening is small. 4x3” or a little better but that’s it. Materials are pretty decent. It gets crazy hot very fast and I don’t have buyers remorse at all so that’s good. The outside will get hot so don’t go grabbing it or the gas port for an hour after you shut it down. You won’t do it twice. At least I won’t. Lol.

Good enough
The burner never got to temperature enough to forge weld maxing out at 1600F or so. That was fine for me to get the metal hot enough to move it around some to know if this was a hobby worth exploring more on. a few days ago though it seems to have starting having issues belching fire and I'm going to have to buy an upgrade to burner.

Great for beginners
It's great for beginners, it's only $109.99 and preforms great. The only two complaints I have are that I had to get a different regulator ( I didn't have the right propane tank ) and the insulation around the neck was a little confusing. But other than those two things I highly recommend it. If you want to get into knife making, this is the best and most cost effective forge to buy.
