Easy and effective
Simple to install. The only parts that I had difficulty fitting were the end caps. It turn out that you have to assemble the two main components before fitting the end caps.

So Glad This Is Fire Safety Rated
It took a while for me to work out the instructions specific to my door but there was a video on YouTube that did show partially what I needed to see but it was with a different door opening option so I figured out the rest myself. In the end I got there. What I have learned looking at some of the reviews is if you are having the door hinge closure rather than the rubber stop closure: is to ensure your door frame is not warped or off line with the contact with this item, as that will mean the rubber excluder will drop unevenly.Hope this helps with knowing. I think this item is great and do recommend.

The Idea is great but the design is rubbish - totally useless
The media could not be loaded. PROBLEM ONE it's not actually fixed to the door - you attach three little plastic blocks to the door with screws, then slide the door seal onto them - that's it - so the whole thing can slide from side - and because one end is spring-loaded, it bounces out of position EVERY TIME you open the door and needs to be repositioned before you can close it again.PROBLEM TWO the drop down mechanism is only on one end - so only that end drops down. Surely we should be provided with another drop down mechanism to fit at the other end once we've cut it to size?I've fixed the first problem by wedging it into place with a panel pin at either end - but at some point the pins will bend and then it will be unusable again. I can't thing of a way to fix the second problem so - yeah - it's rubbish.

OK product, abysmal instructions
It works reasonably well, although it took me a lot of messing about with in order to get it working to a good standard. Probably the worst thing is that it seems that in order to get a 100% seal you have to have a practically 100% flat threshold/floor. It doesn't necessarily have to be 100% level, but it seems it does have to be perfectly consistent. For a product designed to be retrofitted to old doors that's not exactly ideal. After a lot of filling and sanding I managed to get it to 95%.Also, with the plunger, you can adjust its position so that it hits the door frame or bumper with the correct tension. Not enough tension and it either won't drop, or it will only drop on one side. Too much tension and the door will be difficult to close. Depending on your door frame you may need to chisel a small notch out of part of the frame, as I did.Cutting the product down to size is easy enough with a decent hacksaw and clamps. But I had to remove the cover and move the nearest plastic tab thing (that holds a screw) out the way first. The cover back on and checked everything was lined up as I wanted it before cutting.I say all this because the instructions are 1/10 standard in my opinion. No proper written instructions whatsoever, just some diagrams marked with confusing numbers. One other thing worth mentioning is that the seal is only spring loaded on one side. In other words it's only pushed down with pressure at one end. The other end will only drop due to gravity/tension and only after the first end hits the threshold/floor.Overall I'd say it was with the money, just about. Could have been a little cheaper though.

Easy to install and effective in operation
This is an excellent product. The instructions are clear and easy to follow and the end result is exactly what I wanted and needed. The draught is excluded but the door opens and swings freely over the carpet as required. I would highly recommend this if you are looking to reduce draughts and save energy.
