Great for large bandages.
I have worked in the Veterinary profession for years and this is the cast padding that most hospitals stock. It is very soft, and is easy to roll on with out having to worry about it being too tight. It is very absorbent so if you put on a thick enough layer the outer layers it should absorb any moisture that it may come in contact and the layers closest to the skin will stay dry. The cotton can be pulled apart so when you are done applying you can easily separate the roll from the bandage. Use in conjunction with a tefla pad underneath as the cast padding will stick to a wound, and stretch gauze and/or vetwrap on top to hold the cast padding in place. The cast padding is just for padding and will not hold itself together. Wrap cast padding gently to ensure the bandage is not too tight. You should be able to stick 2 fingers under the cast padding if it is the appropriate tightness. Depending on the area you are wrapping, 1-2 rolls should be plenty to have an appropriately thick bandage so a pack of 12 should be enough for several bandages. The thicker the cast padding layer is the more supportive the bandage will be.I personally use these at home for my family and pets. Great for use on people and animals.Seller shipped quickly, packaging looked good.

Soft on the skin
When I was searching for cast padding, I asked a question. Someone wrote back recommending this padding. I wish I could write and thank her. I use the padding to cover non-adhesive pads dressed with Bacitracin. The Specialist padding is so soft and very easy to wrap. I buy them every two weeks. I will always use this seller!

Specialist Cast Padding worked well with our Leonberger
Our old Leonberger (big dog) had to amputate a toe and he also got a big ulcerous sore on his leg. Therefore, he needed to have a large bandage for a long time. To reduce the number of times we had to visit the Veterinarian they showed me how to change the bandage. This is the cast padding the Veterinarian used and wanted us to use. They gave us some and we bought some more from Amazon. We put it on top of a Telfa pad (with Manuka Honey). It is soft and comfortable and holds everything in place. It should not be stretched as it will break. However, you put stretch wrap on top of which will tighten things up (but not too tight). The combination of this cast padding and the WePet-Vet-Wrap worked very extremely well. After a few months he healed.

Not the product I needed
This is probably fine for someone but we need the thick soft cast padding like the clinic uses

exactly what I need for my senior
My senior rescue developed a seasonal allergy that caused him to chew his leg open. We spent thousands on test to make sure it was nothing more serious when he wouldn't stop breaking it open and thankfully it was not, it had however become and OCD or anxiety type behavior. So i use this to wrap his leg for padding before using casting tape to keep him for continuing to hurt himself. I clean it up and moisturize it prior to wrapping and ensure to wrap it securely but not tight. Just need to make sure it doesn't slip and irritate his skin. It is easy to use and does the job!

Exactly what I needed
This is the third brand I've tried and I love it. I have been using this for a while now as I'm on my third package. I blistered the bottom of both of my feet on vacation an they became infected. The wounds were each the size of a fist. I have been using this as an additional wrapped layer to cover the dressings and then using a self adhesive wrap. I haven't had any reaction to the wrap and I have sensitive skin. They have kept the area dry and absorbed any additional drainage.

Good quality padding
Used this padding to wrap my dog’s leg under a hard splint. It conforms well and gives good protection against sores. Would buy this again, it’s just like what’s used by veterinarians.
