Great customer service, excellent product performance
UPDATED Review: To see my initial review, scroll to the bottom of this post. I have updated the review as of 11/13/23, to reflect my complete satisfaction with this product as well as admiration of the vendor's customer service. I was contacted by the vendor after my review posted and they offered to send me a replacement, which I gratefully accepted. On testing, the product performs very well on my home network and was trouble-free to plug in and start to use. Easy to recommend this product now that I have been able to use and test it. For its price, it is a great deal and performs very nicely. RECOMMENDED!My initial review of this product was "This is a very fragile product. Likely would have been able to test it if I could plug it in while in a straight-on orientation, but my application required the antenna to articulate to 90 deg. The antenna dislocated from the hinge and then the antenna wire broke before I could get it reassembled. Disappointing. Great price though - would like to see if it actually works.:

Better Than I Expected, WAY Betrer
I have a computer that only had an on board ethernet connection. I needed to move it to location that was far away from any of my router's ethernet ports BUT directly one floor above my wifi router. Before I tried other options to have it connected, I thought I'd try this USB wifi adapter. To my surprise, I plugged it into the computer, installed the software and immediately saw the local wifi networks. But then something went wrong and NONE of the wifi signals were detected.I uninstalled the software and when I reinstalled it, the networks showed up again and this time, they stayed. I bet this is not typical and I didn't remove any stars from the "Easy to Install" rating. So far, it's better than I expected and was WAY cheaper than any other option I was looking at.The only slight thing that I wish was different is it's antenna and that it only pivots in one direction. My computer's USB ports are vertical, so if I pivoted the antenna, it's still in a horizontal orientation. I let it just stick straight out and it still gets full bars on the signal strength meter. So I guess it doesn't matter in my case. Maybe it would matter if it was further away from the router.

Read these reviews before you purchase
I ordered it as a part of a package. Originally I was going with a different item but I saw it in a bundle in my "others buy this instead" so I went ahead and purchased it.My download speed is literally 15mbps. First I was blaming my ISP but I've narrowed it down to the antenna. It's not worth the money. Wouldn't even want it for free.

Works with linux
Sometimes i use linux on my pc and my tp-link adapter is not compatible so i needed a new one. When i got this and plugged it in, it works instantly with no drivers on ubuntu 22.04. I nowd use ethernet but if i need wifi for any reason, this will work. Sometimes it loses signal for some reason but most of the time, it gets the job done. It's not the fastest but it's usable.

EDUP USB WIFI Adapter 2.4GHz
I tried this wifi adapter on 2 different laptops and it was very fast on the newer laptop considering it's only 802.11 n. On the slower laptop that is 14 years old it was slow like the built in wifi card. Old technology in the older laptop is the reason it's slow. You can't go wrong buying this USB wifi adapter for $7. It works great.Note: The Windows driver that is automatically installed works fine. I did download the MediaTek driver for the slower laptop to see if it would run any faster and it didn't. Be aware that when you go to EDUP's site to get the driver that they try to get you to install something else from MediaTek. You have to select the button to say driver only. Product number is listed on package to get the driver. The product number in the instruction manual is incorrect.
