PopSockets Phone Grip with Expanding Kickstand, Star Wars - The Child Cup

This pop socket is easy to attach and actually stays put. I get lots of comments or compliments on my little Grogu.

I highly recommend anyone that wants to use a grip on the back of their phone to invest in only PopSockets. My last PopSocket outlasted my phone case. It was 5 years for that phone case. I had no problems with my PopSocket coming free. Now I have this one and the other PopSocket head to interchange when I want to. My roommate bought a different brand and the head of the grip kept popping off. He ended up removing it and is now in search of a PopSocket. I highly recommend using only PopSockets. I know I'm sold for life on them.

I got an email from PopSockets about Mandalorian grips, so had to get at least one of The Child. Then came the bad news - PopSockets takes an eternity to ship/deliver, and none of the local stores seem to carry these, so had to go look on Amazon, and they saved the day by offering next day availability if I were willing to go to an Amazon Locker (first world problems). ...so I drove to a local locker trusting that The Child, and of course a mask and hand sanitizer, would keep me safe. Replacing an existing PopSocket on my PopWallet was way easier than I thought (first time swapping a PopSocket), and think it looks awesome. I did have to drop a star for a couple of reasons - 1)The quality of the image isn’t the best and pretty grainy; although not noticeable from a distance, 2)It’s very shiny and I can already tell that it will scratch easily and that those scratches will be noticeable. ...so unless you really like this particular PopSocket and must have it (which to be honest; I got this one because it was one of the few I could get the next day); I wouldn’t recommend paying full retail price. Hopefully PopSockets will improve the quality.

Some history. Cell phones were big, because tech was big. As tech got better, phones got smaller. Even the early touchscreen phones were smaller. But then 4G meant that video could easily be streamed to a phone, and I can watch star wars while on a road trip. So phone have been getting bigger, to better show off videos and stuff.However, now phones are bigger than hands. I have decently large hands, but my Pixel 3 XL is not comfortable to hold in one hand. Popsockets are great. They stick to your phone (case) and mean you can hold your phone between your index and middle finger. Or you can use it as a kickstand. They do not last forever, but they last a while and are a huge life upgrade if you have a larger phone.

First of all, the adhesion on this thing is amazing and actually broke my case trying to remove the base to use on another phone. It didn't break the Pop Socket though, so there's that. I don't know how I functioned without a pop socket since my phone is a bit wide and trying to take photos or video chat without it was near impossible. I love that I don't have to worry that it will just pop off and my phone will drop off the side of a boat, etc, because of lack of adhesion. I only deducted a star because the glossy finish has mostly rubbed off but there's still a glossy ring in the middle.

Absolutely love this as I always dropped my phone, now it’s rare and grogu is absolutely adorable. Everyone notices it.
