QuantiQuik Oxalate Quick Test Strips (10 Strips)

It’s damned good. I’m a post-kidney-stone patient. I used it to test the raw foods before consuming them. It’s actually quite efficient and sometimes surprised me. No doubt it eases my oxalate phobia.

I purchased the QuantiQuik Oxalate Quick Test Strips from Amazon. I believed these could be used to adjust my dietary oxalate intake using a simple urine dip test strip. Unfortunately, that's not the case. Urine sample must go thru a lot more preparation using lab chemicals and equipment. Maybe someday a simple dip test strip will be available. That would be a great medical invention.

I bought these strips to measure the oxalate concentration in tea. As I diluted the tea, the measured concentrations dropped as expected. Green tea showed an undetectable concentration as expected. Unfortunately, my refrigerator stopped working and when I used them again after they had been exposed to room temperatures for a few days, they didn't work anymore. But that was also expected since their shelf life is only 6 months when stored at 4 degrees C. I'm going to buy another set for additional testing.

In order for this to work additional items must be purchased. The cost is already ridiculously high but to find out they are totally useless without more money needing to be spent is bad way to do business.
