These are a great buy
Day 1: Wore them around the house for a couple of hours They run true to size and adjusted well to my feet. Comfortable arch support. Little or no breaking-in time.Day 2: Wore them for an entire day of errands, including a 2-hour excursion through Cosco. They remained comfortableDay 3: The real test came when *I wore them to work on the very rocky terrain in my large yard that is landscaped mostly with rocks of varying sizes rather than grass. They provided the stability I needed, and the balance assistance that I wanted. They are well constructed, sturdy, and about as attractive as a hiking boot can be. At this price, one couldn't beat the value anywhere.

Would Re Purchase
I bought these in a size 11. Great quality and durability. I've had them for 2 years now and have no regrets. They are extremely comfortable to hike in. Before, I was hiking in regular sneakers. After this purchase - the difference was like day and night. I had great traction and felt like I was walking on clouds. Unsure why I waited so long to buy proper hiking boots but I'm very satisfied with these and would buy again.

Very tight even with shoe laces loose.
They are cute and no matter what size shoe I wear I'm either an 8 or 8 1/2. I got these in an 8 1/2 and toe length is perfect but they're just too tight and that's trying them on without socks. I don't have a wide foot it's pretty narrow so I figured they would fit great but it's so tight it's not comfortable on the top of my foot. The sole of the shoe is comfortable and the shoe looks great. I will keep them and break them in to see if the tightness goes away otherwise it's a no for me and they can find a new home. They look pretty heavy duty yet light with all the protection you need. Traction is good and it's definitely good for the price you pay. I really hope the tightness goes away because I do like these boots.

Sturdy but not waterproof
I checked for waterproofness upon delivery, and they did not have it. I sprayed with waterproofing spray a few times. Still, upon wearing them on a rainy day, my feet got wet through the seams. But they are sturdy, got me through my trip to Macchu Picchu, Bolivia, and Easter Island. My feet weren't too hot in 70 degree weather, but also I wasn't hiking for hours and hours. I'm a size 9W and I ordered a 10 and they fit snugly, they loosened up a bit over the weeks to fit my foot well.

Comfy and Looks Good Too
Love these hikers. They're so comfortable with a good arch support and just the right height. I haven't hiked in them yet, but I see no reason why they won't work out well and don't even need to be broken in first. I did order up half a size and so glad I did because I needed that extra little bit of room in the toe. I highly recommend ordering 1/2 to 1 full size larger than you normally wear. They look nice too! The only thing I wonder about is the clean-up after hiking. They are mostly the suede like material that most hikers are made of so I guess I'll just have to trust that they will clean up okay. The sole grips well and should do well climbing up hilly trails. I got them on sale at a really good price.
