Works great, looks great
Works great. Holds a lightly spring hinged swing door open with no problem. My only complaint is that it can be a bit loud when the hinged part of the floor plate snaps up to meet the magnet. Only really noticeable when the house is quiet at night though, and certainly not worth losing a star.I see a lot of reviews stating that it doesn't work with a big gap under the door, and they're right. But the product description clearly states that you need a pretty low clearance (<15mm). My gap was a bit too large, so I cut a circle of 1/4" plywood to go under the floor plate, and it worked like a charm.

Solves one of those "first world" problems
Three years ago we picked up a Bennington 23' pontoon. It's been a great pontoon, with the exception (really a minor issue) that unless you lock/set the swinging doors, they don't stay put. The biggest installation issue is getting the correct clearance between the two pieces. Because the piece that mounts to the door had to be located on a non-flat part of the door frame, the tape option didn't work. Once I screwed the door part to the door, it now works, and stays put.I liked the door stopper well enough that I purchased these two additional locks, for the other two doors on the pontoon. This time I'll go straight to screwing the door pieces on, rather than relying on the tape. Nothing wrong with the tape, it just wasn't designed to adhere to the curved pattern of the door frame.

Doesn’t Work.
Doesn’t work. My door may have a 1/4 inch clearance to the floor. The magnet doesn’t catch at all. Useless IMHO

Didn’t work for our needs
This product was easy to install however it did not meet our needs so we decided to adhere it to a wall instead. It’s my opinion that adhesion is adhesion whether it be on the floor or a wall. It does not stay adhered to the wall.

Not Ideal For Barn Doors But Can Work, With Some Improvising
I bought this in hopes of "fixing" our barn door. Our barn door was always sliding about 1/4 of the way closed bc whoever mounted it probably did a slightly uneven job. I had to tinker a bit with this product to make it work for a barn door but I did eventually get it to work. The floor to door clearance of a barn door is higher than your traditional door so I was having the issue that the lifting magnet was not being pulled up by the door magnet when it rolled over it. I was able to fix that simply by placing a couple pennies under the magnet that lifts up to keep it from going all the way flat, creating a smaller gap between the two magnets and allowing it to now fully lift once the door rolls over it. Secondly, the door magnet was hitting the tracks when closed and I was worried it would cause damage to the tracks over time. So I decided to mount the door bracket along the back of the door perpendicular to the tracks rather than the sides. There is overhang but this part of my door is hidden by a night stand so I'm not concerned of the aesthetic appearance and more so just focused on having the door able to stay fully open. If you want aesthetics on a barn door, this item will not work for you. I'm giving 5 stars bc this product does what it is suppose to do and for a traditional door that is lighter and normal height, it will work.

Works but................
This product works great however the piece on the floor isn't high enough to meet up to the piece on the door so my husband had to improvise to make it work. It worked great after his adjustments but it took quite a while to install.

Not for camper, boating or RV's
There is a lot if play in the hardware, very noisy if it shakes from traveling
