Yeah, these are pretty flimsy little tiny notebooks, and somehow I find the paper a little more sensitive to some kind of oil-based ball-point cartridges than other R-i-t-Rain notebooks.But it's a convenient size, and I've drenched mine in water thoroughly many times. Some bleeding at the edges with one ink cartridge in ball point, but after experimentation, I found some pens/cartridges that stay fast.I'm only slightly annoyed that when damp, the pages tend to stick together....not a problem, really...you won't tear the leaves except on purpose when separating them....but maybe that is a characteristic of this particular RiTR notebook.

This is the first time I've purchased a Rite in the Rain notebook with white paper and I think that may be why it appears to bleed through. In some cases, the bleed-through has made the writing on the next page illegible. It happens with both a cheapy mechanical pencil and a good Japanese one. These were pages that I intended to use for reference so it's pretty frustrating that I'll have to redo them.
