No more drop outs or disconnects. Improved performance.
Power supply to my home entertainment system (OLED TV, Onkyo home theater, AppleTV) in my 50+ year old home is noisy from inductive loads (heat pump and refrigerators being the main culprits but also washing machine, dryer, dishwasher). These loads were causing voltage drops at motor start that caused the LG OLED to go dark or the Onkyo to click the speakers off and on. All rather annoying when watching and listening. This Liebert PS15 is oversized for my use case but I have no regrets. It has completely solved the power drop out problem I had. Its line interactive output is rock solid. It may be my imagination but I think the audio quality is also better as the Onkyo's own power conditioning is just along for the ride now.The UPS feature is secondary for me as mains power supply is reliable.

Silent
Using it about a month so far, the fan only runs when it's charging the batteries or running on batteries making this silent when power is normal. I love that. I've done a few tests. Works perfectly. Because it's a very efficient 90% power factor, a load is a smaller percentage making run time longer. Very pleased so far.

Will not cycle on after complete drain
I purchased two of these units and they both don’t work identically. I have them as back up for some internet and video equipment, and after an extended power outage, the units were fully discharged. After power was restored, the UPS units would power on and off, causing the equipment to never come back online. These units cannot maintain power output while charging units internal battery, and not a good choice for offsite equipment.

no network connectivity out of the box
Misleading description - network monitoring functions require a separate card

UPS Seems solid; Software a mixed bag
During 2020-2023 period I lost 4 of my APC UPS's due to full system failure, not just battery, these things either smoked, fried, or just quit working (eco: was able to save and eventually use several batteries in the other remaining APC UPS's which was nice). As each UPS died, I rebalanced my loads and relocated APC UPSs from other areas of the home until I couldn't anymore. Finally, I needed to buy a UPS and with the young and old APCs were dropping like flies, I was not inclined to keep buying them. As most of us in the UPS buyer's market know, finding a good UPS units these days is a chore that it shouldn't be.I settled on the Liebert PSI5 with one or two others of theirs and Eaton making my top 5 list. It shipped without incident, it came with rack rails (unexpected, since I didn't realize it came with them) which I am currently not using. The UPS has been rock-solid and has saved my systems and network several times already as I am a remote WFH software developer. Overall, this UPS as a UPS seems solid and ready for the task. However, the Liebert Power Assist software has tons of false messages, so it is likely best to either not install it or just use their on-shutdown email notification or use their custom shutdown script feature to perform notification using your favorite platform API prior to it starting the orderly shutdown.BONUS: Installing the Power Assist does also install their API making it available to home lab and home automation systems integration for reporting and limited behavior testing/control; furthermore, it has a Swagger page for exploring each endpoint.

I loved it

Misleading description
The outlets are not programmable. You need to buy a very very expensive card to be able to control any outlets.

Liebert is a name you can trust
We needed a small rack mountable UPS and this one has all the features for those unexpected power drops. Great brand.
