The clue is in the name - Breath Easy Chuckit! Ball
In response to all the reviews criticising this product for being too easily destroyed…As the name suggests, the purpose of this product is not to be an indestructible chew toy, it is designed to allow unrestricted breathing during play. For this reason, this ball is amazing. There are many other balls in the Catchit! range for incorrigible chewers, for example, the Ultra or Rugged models. The Breath Easy ball is particularly ideal for brachycephalic (flat-faced) breeds, such as pugs, Frenchies, Boston Terriers, Boxers and Bulldogs. Their short snouts can make them prone to breathing issues. Playing fetch with a solid ball, like a tennis or Ultra Catchit! ball can exacerbate breathing conditions. They can’t get enough air in through their noses, when they’re exerting themselves and their mouths are full, causing some to overheat, vomit, or even have seizures. My Boston Terriers are both ball-obsessed. While they don’t have particularly short snouts or suffer from any medical conditions, we have to take solid balls away from them after a while, as their breathing starts to sound like a couple of runaway steam trains! The Breath Easy Catchit! balls are lightweight because they are hollow with a soft, cut out, squidgy rubber exterior. They are good quality, have excellent bounce:weight ratio, can be used with ball launchers, are easy to throw, find and clean, and best of all they allow your dog to breath freely while carrying it.Ours love them so much we’ve recently invested in a few more, both small and medium sized, with small and medium Catchit! launchers to extend the range of distances we are able to achieve.Although the range isn’t cheap, it’s not too expensive either. I feel it still represents good value for money as all the products we’ve had are hard-wearing, long-lasting, and made with good quality materials. You get what you pay for.If your dog is an avid chewer, give them suitable chew toys to satisfy that need. Keep the Breath Easy ball for when you are actively engaging with your dog (we play a lot of fetch, or hide and seek with ours). Put it away when you’re finished and this ball will not only last, but will become a firm favourite.Over the years we’ve owned pretty much every kind of Chuckit! ball, and we’ve not had to discard a worn out one yet, but we have lost a fair few!I can highly recommend Chuckit! products in general and the Breath Easy ball in particular.

Long lasting
This is the only toy that my three year old Weimaraner has had from a puppy. She is a strong chewer and played with the last one daily from 8 weeks old. It finally gave in through wear.

Voted 5* by the dog!
When this ball arrived, I nearly threw it straight in the bin. It felt very flimsy, was smaller than I thought it would be, and I thought it was a waste of money. My dog can destroy the sturdiest of balls in a matter of minutes, so I thought it might be best just to throw this away rather than give it to her on Christmas Day and then see her disappointed face as I wrestle the bits away from her which she will never see again. Fortunately, I decided to let her have her 2 minutes of fun with it and she got it Christmas morning, and despite getting other toys this was by far her favourite. I was very surprised to see it still in one piece after half an hour of chewing. After 3 days of trying to destroy it, the dog gave up with that and started playing with it instead. Now, 2 months later, the ball is still intact and is still chewed/played with on a daily basis. I will definitely be getting another one.

Great ball but not suitable for chewers!
My cocker spaniel is ball mad. He loved the traditional solid Chuckit balls however I came across a video shared by a veterinary practice of them saving the life of a dog who had a solid ball lodged in its throat. The video was pretty disturbing and although the dog made it, it was touch and go. So I decided to look for a ball that if it were to get stuck down my dogs throat he could still breathe. Having introduced him to these balls he now no longer is interested in any other ball - he loves them!. It allows him to breathe as he runs, they reduce the ingestion of sand and sea water at the beach. It's soft on his teeth when he catches it and it's light. Works well in a ball thrower and it floats. All great - however they don't last long and they are expensive. The last couple of balls I purchased lasted a couple of months and then started to break so not great for the environment and I wouldn't leave a chewer alone with this ball... Hope this helps!

My dogs love these balls. Long lasting and suited to smaller dogs.
My dogs love playing with balls. Boston terriers have smaller mouths and these SMALL sized balls are perfectly sized for them as it allows them to breath easy having a short muzzle.Other balls ( tennis ball size) are ok but they seek out and prefer these small balls as they fit comfortably in the mouth and they can give them a good old comforting chew. The balls come at a price but are great and durable for years. Some other balls get shredded in a day.I have had the wide range of this companies balls and are still going strong, so I will only ever buy these now and highly recommend these balls. A great product!

It's not awful however not very bouncy nor sturdy.
It was way lighter, more flexible, less durable, and less bouncy than I expected.I originally wanted to return it. It may have some benefits for dogs breathing however my french bulldog didn't even want to play with it much. He doesn't want to chase it on walks. Prefers to run after a tennis ball we found on the street or a stick. :(I wish this company started making toys in colours dogs can actually see and differentiate from grass. Green, yellow and orange, for all I know, looks practically the same for dogs so that doesn't help in finding this ball in the park.

Good dog toy
My dogs love it, it’s pretty sturdy despite its look, it’s withstood my Labrador/german shepherd and my pitbulls chewing and you don’t need to worry about choking since there’s holes in the ball

Highly Recommend
For any dog addicted to balls, these are perfect. Soft on their teeth, yet extremely durable. Highly recommend.

Was my dogs favourite toy
We had the smaller version of this ball and it was our dogs' favourite toy.Their most favourite game though was to roll it under the sofa and bark until we got it for them.So we got this larger version and they loved it just as much.I think these balls last forever, but they're soft so won't hurt the dogs or anything they bounce against. But then I made the mistake of getting them a screaming chicken, and now that's their favourite toy!

Great balls for little dogs.
I have a Biewer who is an extremely aggressive chewer. That little dog loves the tiny tennis balls but distroys them in about 10 minutes. These balls are perfect. She can fetch them and carry them in her mouth easily. She has not managed to destroy them yet which is a big bonus. They are more expensive…but you get what you pay for.
