Enjoyable and engaging read that highlights the benefits of ayahuasca.
I found this book an enjoyable and engaging read that gave me a great insight into ayahuasca and the experiences people have had while using it. I learned something from each account and it has reinforced my determination to experience ayahuasca for myself. I believe everyone can benefit from plant medicine but unfortunately the system most of us live in prevents this from happening, this has to change!!

Hard to put down..
This is a fabulous book which pulls together so many inspiring stories about Ayahuasca. Thoroughly recommend. After watching many many YouTube reviews of Ayahuasca, this book goes way deeper into the back stories and the transformations and there is no unnecessary padding out of experiences. A truly wonderful piece of work.

The power of real stories
A very helpful introduction to Ayahuasca with solid information on reliable centres to attend.Having lived in Peru and participated in ceremonies with many of the centres mentioned, they are places I too would recommend. Not all experiences are as transformative and positive as those detailed in the book. The first 22 ceremonies I had, very little happened apart from lots of toilet visits. My husband developed PTSD from reliving childhood abuse.I'm glad to see that it's been realised that other support systems are necessary to help integrate the changes brought on by la medicina. The shamanic traditions just don't have the resources to deal with the depth of issues that we westerners bring to the table. One shaman, when asked what she thought of westerners, said we were very nice but rather dirty. The "dirty" is the trauma and stress that is part and parcel of Western life.Between us my husband and I have drunk more than 150 times and while I consider those experiences some of the most profound of my whole life, others were incredibly painful and difficult and have taken years to integrate and come to terms with. A decade on I'm still dealing with things. As one participant says: Healing is a lifetime journey.Ayahuasca is not something to take lightly, it will change your life whether you like it or not. Like many in this book I am deeply grateful for having had the opportunity to partake.

Unputdownable
I loved this book. It brings together people of all ages, from all across the world, seeking guidance from Mother Aya. Inspiring, thought provoking and uncensored, these sixteen stories show the true life-changing effects of ayahuasca, mambo and bufo alvarius. Raw and brutally honest, this is a must read for anyone who has ever wanted to know how to become the best version of YOU!
