Nice and Handy.
Works well. Power supply comes in handy. Wish the soldering iron cable was about .5 meters longer for my setup. Heat gun a little weak, but does work. Had some problems switching degrees from C to F, and back. The current meter goes down to 1 Ma which is better than some which lose the last digit.

A very good DIYER rework station.
First off, lets me be clear on which model this review is for, and that model is the Yihua 853D 2a usb.Todays date is 03/26/23.Okay then, the Yihua 853D 2a is a very nice machine. First impression of the machine was positive. All accessories, with the exception of one, which will be covered later in this review, do seem well made. After letting the machine run for a few minutes the soldering iron was heated, and tinned. No problems there. The hot air station was started and left to run up to temperature. Again, no problem there.I did test the hot air station by removing an eeprom chip from an old circuit board. The chip came free in short order, AND, there was no damage on the chip, or big mess left behind on the board. Never had that happen using an iron. But I'm no pro.The power supply output was dead on when tested with a Fluke meter. Sorry, the input side was not tested as of this writing. There are a few tools included with this set. A very good pair of tweezers for grabbing whatever, a solder suction tool, and some solder. I must say that I have a few sets of tweezers, and chip grabbers, and none work as well as the tweezers included with this kit. As for the solder suction tool, I've never had much luck with such tools, but the one included looks ok. Personally, I use a heated tool with a suction bulb for solder removal. There is another tool included that appears that no one is aware of its intended use.Now I was on the fence about buying this model, or the newer 853D 3a model. I suspect that this model, the 853D 2a, will be discontinued shortly, so grab one while they last, because, the only difference that I could see between the 2a and the 3a was the price, and the 3a had an extra amp, and a blue handle on the hot air gun.Keep in mind that this machine takes up quite a bit of real estate on the bench when compared to other rework stations without a built in power supply. The pros,The machine is straight forward in the way it is controlled, and the machine and the accessories that are included do have a quality feel. The cons,There are a couple of things that I personally didn't care for, but nothing major.1. The tips for the hot air gun need a different system to hold them in place. The little screws, and the square nuts do not fit the tabs provided on the tips. This makes tightening the clamps VERY hard. Suggestion, increase the size of the tabs on the clamping area so the nuts fit flatly against the tab.2. The power cord, and the cords to the heat gun and soldering iron are a tad short. All cords should be increased by a couple of feet.Would I buy this machine again? At this point, and noting that this is for personal use... I would say yes. I can only hope that the machine will last, which I see no problem with since I hardly use such equipment. On the other hand... if one intends on using this machine for commercial use, they may want to check into the machine a little closer. Lets face it, there's a HUGE difference between how long a machine will last in the home shop when compared to how long a machine will last being used very often.Hope this helps.

Awesome, Compact, and Great Price.
Soldering station worked fine, and so did the hot-air station. Have yet to try the rest of the station but will update when that time comes.

So far so good
I want to start by saying, if you buy this and you plug in your hot air into the base unit after you already applied power to the base unit, you may see S-E on the display when you try to use Hot air. Turn off the main power and turn it back on and it will hopefully work normally. My X-tronic soldering station went down after 10 years of use and needed something fast, so I ordered this unit as I always wanted a DC power supply also.I checked the power supply with two different meters and when set to 3.3v, it was very accurate. Nice to seeI also did some soldering yesterday and I had no issues. The soldering iron uses standard soldering tips, which is nice. The hot air gun does get hot to hold, not sure if I like it or not, as I find myself continuously moving my grip so I don't get burned. It's much better then my X- tronics air, which had the air in the base unit and a hose to the handheld unit.Anyways, so far so good

Original unit had broken Soldering Iron, but Customer Service was great!
I'm relatively new to the skill of soldering. I have a TS-100 that is well used, but it wasn't able to handle XT60 (AWG12) wires, so I picked up this unit.Packaging is really nice. Built quality felt good for the most part, except the soldering iron. It didn't feel "solid". The tip kind of wiggled even while screwed down and none of the included tips fit. I even picked up some Hakko tips and those didn't fit either. Contacted support and they sent me a new soldering iron within a day or so. Just the iron, not the rest of the unit. Turns out with my original iron, the metal sleeve within the pre-installed tip broke off and got stuck in the ceramic heating core's sleeve. The replacement soldering iron feels MUCH more "solid". All of the tips fit nicely on it. After removing my original's broken metal sleeve, that one works too, although it still doesn't feel right, but I'll be keeping it as a backup at least.Managed to unsolder some XT60 wires using this machine with the largest Hakko tip I had (T18-S3). Unit takes a bit to heat up, but it's not super long. Sleep timer for both the iron and rework are adjustable. I've only used the rework for heat shrink, but it does the job well. As mentioned, there's a good number and variety of tips included. They seem ok, but probably should be the first thing you upgrade as their quality seems just ok instead of great. Rework station has 3 included tips itself. A bit of a pain to tighten, but it's fine.Haven't used the power supply at all. So I cannot comment on it.TL;DR: Unit had bad soldering iron. Contacted support and got a replacement quickly. Unit is great for a beginner/hobbyist. A little slow to get up to temp and didn't appear to have a problem keeping temp. Probably think about getting new iron tips in the future.
