DO NOT BUY THIS TESTER!
USELESS! This tester will give a false alarm when testing almost anything. Here is a picture of it giving an alarm when touching the cardboard packaging it came in! (the cardboard is on a rubber coaster on a wooden table nowhere near a power source) Read the one star reviews - the complaints are true. If it is anywhere within 8-10 inches of a hot wire, it will alarm. It could not test neutral or ground on an outlet with the power on, it always alarms. I only give it 5 stars because it is ultra-safe - it will always indicate there is live voltage. In fact, I showed my wife that it alarms on the garbage can, so it wasn't safe for me to take it out. She took it and touched the stove top, and it alarmed, so she said it wasn't safe to cook dinner. ( I'll be taking her out to Red Lobster right after I finish this review!)

Better than another brand I tried
Easy to use and functional I want to know if the circuit is off. I always test on a live outlet first then normally the line I want to be sure of.

Life-threateningly inaccurate
The media could not be loaded. Serious defect: false positive for anything it touches, the slightest tap.So, how do we know that there are not false negatives?This might be the first one star review I've ever given.
