I’ve had difficulty running two monitors from my laptop as it only supports one hdmi. I’ve tried using a usb to hdmi connection but it’s slow and clunky as well as keeps losing connect.ion when laptop goes to sleep or off. Then I have to spend ages trying to get laptop to see second screen again. This dock is working straight out the box perfectly and I’ve also done away with a separate usb multi connector as I’ve got more than enough ports on this too. Wish I’d found it sooner.

I have a Mac Air that only allows one monitor to be connect so I needed a doc that used DisplayLink (and wasn't some off brand delight that was going to over heat or stop working after 3 weeks) so I was going to resign myself into spending £100+ minimum, then this was in the recommended search. Still early days but after downloading the displaylink software (super easy) this pretty much connects straight out of the box. Really simple and has saved me over £70 when buying a doc. Im only using it for WFH and web browsing so I can't attest to professional image quality for editing etc but to my untrained eyes it seems really good image quality.

Bought in August 2023. Very stable connection and no issues - works as supposed to with no glitchiness you find with cheaper docks. When an issue did arise at the end of May 2024, I contacted customer support (which happens to be in the US) and they couldn’t have been any more helpful, efficient and pleasant to deal with. They troubleshooted, sent me a replacement unit and resolved all my queries rapidly, then independently followed up to check all was well. Solid unit, handy to switch between work/home laptops.

I needed something to drive two additional high resolution 28" screens, two back up disks and a drawing tablet from my new laptop. This 4K Diplay Link has several USB ports, two additional graphics ports, and sockets for headphones and more. I could connect to my USB C port on the left hand side of my laptop to run all those devices whilst leaving the right hand side uncluttered. It was extremely easy to set up. One of the most useful ever bits of IT kit I've ever purchase and my workstation set up works very nicely with this.

Typically, my experience with the dock has been smooth, except for occasional DRM issues related to DisplayLink. However, today, upon attempting to connect to the dock via USB-C, I encountered a significant problem: there is no display output whatsoever.To troubleshoot, I conducted several tests:Tested the monitor with another system: The monitor, port, and cable are functioning properly.Attempted HDMI connection to the dock and monitor: Unfortunately, this also yielded no result.Restarted my computer, dock, and monitor: Despite these efforts, the issue persists.

Really annoying that my new M2 MacBook doesn’t natively support multiple displays over Thunderbolt like my Intel MacBook did flawlessly. This has replaced a Dell WD19 Thunderbolt dock that was 4x the cost of this. Wish I’d never bought the Dell dock! This version doesn’t do power delivery but it’s a great value considering it provides a workaround for those with Apple silicon.
