So quick and easy!
This stuff is amazing! It's so lightweight and easy to work with. I put up my shower surround in a couple of hours this afternoon.Definitely watch some videos before getting started, because there are easy silly mistakes you can make. But I absolutely recommend this for DIYers. It really cannot get any easier than this.

My contractor really liked this.
This was the first time my contractor used this product. The panels are very light weight. It does take some time to put the membrane up and thinset the screws and membrane, but it seems to be worth it.The kit is a little pricey, but worth it if the contractor is happy, right?

Best shower system EVER!!!
I've installed a handful of showers and tubs over the years. Durock, Hardie Backer, RedGuard, and even the Kerdi membrane. They all have their pros and cons. But after spending a few extra dollars and going for the Kerdi Board system, I will never use anything else! Gone are the days of lugging heavy cement boards, cutting through cement with a knife, cursing at trying to cut a round hole in a piece of cement board...Pros:* The boards are SOOO light, but they are strong enough for 16" stud spacing. They feel secure when on the wall* The boards are SOOO easy to cut. Easier than drywall!* Easy to cut shapes. I used a Kerdi niche, and it looks great and was simple to install.* You can spackle over the board above the tile (if desired)* Totally waterproof/moldproof* Grid pattern makes laying tile faster to keep things level and plumbThe only real downside is that it is more expensive than Durock and the Kerdi membrane. But the time savings of cutting and getting it installed is well worth it in my opinion.

Holding up great, and first tile install
Take your time, watch the videos (more than once) but we installed ourselves as first time tilers in our tub surround and so far, so good. It’s our only shower and we use it daily for the last 2 mo without issue (the previous cracks in the grout were raining in the kitchen with simple testing and we’ve poured buckets over the seams before tiling without incident). Expensive but seemed much simpler than other waterproofing options for handy but beginner waterproofing folks like us.

Don’t waste your time. Horrible.
I would give this zero stars if possible. My first bathroom I remodeled I used the much cheaper backer board with old-fashioned water membranes and Redgard. Worked perfectly. Yes the backer board is heavier and harder to cute. But having to use thinset to waterproof this system was the worst! So messy. Time consuming. And I don’t even feel like it’s as sold as my other shower. Also this package is ridiculous. It hardly comes with anything you need to truly do this arduous system.

Easy to use, only received 95 screws and 120 washers
The kit was supposed to come with 140 screws and 140 washers. My box was unopened, but only contained 95 screws and 120 washers. Disappointed that after spending $540 I still had to go out and buy more screws and washers. As far as use goes, the panels are super easy to install.
