Im no rice snob so i can't attest to what it is supposed to look like....but i dont care....i'm eating it not putting it on my wall. That being said this is the best way to get bulk low arsenic medium glycemic index organic rice is this product right here. Have been eating it for a few years from amazon with no problems. And bonus, basmatti is in my opinion the best tasing type of rice...love that natural popcorn smell when it cooks!

Fantastic rice. Fresh and a very good value with Subscribe & Save. This costs more at my local health food store then it does here on Amazon. With free shipping too! It cooks up really nicely compared to the Organic short grain brown rice I usually buy from the same brand. Highly recommended!

The rice was great but when the rice arrived, it was loose. The bag had a box cutter cut along the top of the bag. In the placement of the bag in the box, it had to have happened before it was boxed. I lost about 1 lb of rice. I have discovered that the rice from Lundberg Farms has the lowest arsenic level and is the safest rice to eat on this planet. All rice has arsenic, but what levels?

The rice bag was intact and the price for this quality of rice was good, however packaging problems existed. This Amazon Prime box and others I ordered were held up at the UPS facilities in Sacramento and Oakland for weeks. When they arrived at my home they had been opened, re-taped, and re-opened. The UPS driver said, "I hate delivering packages like this. I'm sorry. This is the way they came to us." So...if you order this rice I suggest not doing it through Amazon. I buy stuff from Amazon all the time, but have been having more and more issues with packaging, quality of items, etc. It's almost as if suppliers are getting rid of their bad wares and returns on Amazon.

I bought 4 bags of this 25 lbs package rice in middle July, 2013. And just opened up 1 bag a week ago, and found the rice was not really the normal Basmati type of rice as I had before. I gave 1 bag to my parents, they also complained the same problem as I felt, the aroma of the rice was not there anymore.. and rice was much shorter grain, with lots of broken pieces. I did write to Lundberg Customer Service couple of days ago informing about the issues and even gave them the lot number on the bag... hoping could get some answers from them to see if this is because of old stock or just wrong rice type.. as I only eat Basmati white rice for many years.. so could not tell which type of rice this should be or messed up with I guess... so far no answers from Lundberg side. And I still hope someone could give me some kind of explanation here.

This may not be 4cm long genetically altered rice from Pakistan, however it is healthy unlike the eastern rice with all the chemicals and pesticides and fumigations. It is good to have a variety of rices for various recipes, and this one is a favorite. Add a teaspoon of olive oil and it will stay soft.

If you have been reading the news, a lot of the imported rice has high levels of arsenic. This is organic rice so hopefully the arsenic and other chemicals are minimal. Buying in bulk gets you a good price.

I really love the taste of organic rice and it's a plus to find that it's basmati! The most expensive rice in the world and very nutritional.
