WARNING! HOT +12V (nom) FACE of Male Plug WILL SHORT on FLAT GROUNDED SURFACE USE FAST BLOW FUSE
SHORTS, WINK OUTS, FIRES, PLASMA FIREBALLS not only possible but probable in very common cases during installation and use. My 5A PTC self-resetting fuse did not help much. If you don't use ANY other fuses use a 2-5A fast blow.Or be absolutely certain you unplug your power source, if only at the female end of this connector. If you study the photos very closely you can see why.I was thinking these things were pretty handy, if overpriced. Little loose maybe, 4 or 5 stars. Then I was tinkering around with my POE setup on the back of my HTPC. About when I started to wrap it up I thought I saw a little spark jump from the back of the chassis. Almost ignored it.Brushed it again another spark. Sometimes yes, sometimes no. Check the other one. At first I thought it was different. I thought one was wired backwards. Impossible right? No wires in there I bet, more like bent straws of thin sheet. I thought it could be polarity reversing for guitar stomp boxes too.A lot of them reset the system.I got some big ones too. In the end my PC refused to start if I held the connector in such a way as to guarantee the short.I determined that if the connector touches a metal surface at an angle higher than about 70 degrees, say during installation there's a hard short of the CENTER receiving sleeve to that metal surfacing. If it is grounded or even just bonded to other parts of the system, and it usually is, you'll get a sort of "ground loop". If it's not bonded it will be elevated to 12V.Don't misunderstand. The sleeve is "grounded" as normal. It's the potential for the inner pin/cup/sleeve that's the hazard because the sleeve is not recessed far enough behind the insulating plastic ring: "hot face" connector. Big no-no like ALWAYS! That's why 1/4" stereo plugs are "never" used for power: tip hits ground BOOM!. Sadly in fact 1/4 is used to carry speaker wiring for some stage gear.Used with a switching wall-wart or line rat of anything less than 5-10A (far over its continuous rating) you'll probably get lucky and the PS will wink out.At the other extreme, if you are fiddling around under the automobile hood or in a solar battery installation and don't follow best practices: say you attached directly to battery hot, if you get a bit of momentum behind it flopping it around, or forward tension into an aluminum block or something, I can almost guarantee you a large, hot flash of metal plasma if not a white hot flashbang of the thing all at once.In between are all sorts of use cases including older transformer DC supplies, old CATV 24V AC power supplies.. they usually do not shut off even when highly overloadedIt appears many plugs from this maker, or whoever makes these, suffer from the same problem. No more 5.5 x 2.1 sleeve barrels for me... I'll take 2.1 or 2.3 spade spring type. They often have yellow tips.

As advertised
Works, price not the greatest, cheap and Chinese.

Good but a little thick.
Bought these for my guitar pedalboard. A 90° angle before the plug adds stability. The walls on these are pretty thick so as you can see I shaved them down to size. Added some electrical tape to make up for some lost insulation. They work and fit great now.

A great solution
These literally saved the day on my pedal board, which had two jacks that protruded out very dangerously. This could’ve been a disaster in transport!

Right angle power adapter
Seems to be well made, and has worked well in my application. Check dimensions of both the "male" and "female" ends to make sure it meets your connector size requirements. Great if using a right angle adapter could reduce the stress on your power cable -- bending the wire coming out of a connector puts enough stress on both the conductor wires inside the cable and its plastic insulation that it can prematurely fail over time. Electric cable plastic insulation is particularly susceptible to "drying out" [especially small cables] and cracking ,resulting in the exposed conductors shorting, resulting in bad outcomes for equipment.

works
I needed this for my pedalboard. I have a Digitech Whammy II pedal on my board and didn't like having the power supply sticking so far out. I used this to change the plug to a right angle and so far so good.

Good product for those tight spaces
The adapters worked as advertised. And, they came exactly as promised.

Handy right angle adapter
I didn’t like my power cable putting extra stress on the charging port because it stuck straight out, so I ordered these, and put one on the end of my power cable. So far it’s working fine, glad I ordered it. Good product.

Works for Data Robotics Drobo FS
This works perfectly in combination with a 12v 10a power supply to power my NAS , I didn't have to buy the more expensive cable that cost 3x more than the adaptor and power supply
