Make a great knife or give it as a gift
I’ve done several of these knife making kits and this company is one of the best. The blade is sharp and buffed to an almost mirror like finish. This one came with a mosaic pin that could cost $10-20 just for that. The case that it comes with makes a great box for gifting the knife. Wrap the blade with tape to keep it from getting scratched while working on it

Square deal
Paid $32 for this kit. Very solid little set up. Kit includes two sets of handle pins and one mosaic pin. Blade so far appears to be of good quality and arrived super sharp. Holds an edge well and looks beautiful with the snake wood handle I put on it.

Good quality product with excellent custumer service and care.
I find Katsura to be an excellent project stock knife. I started out using project blanks and now forge my own blanks but when I want a really beautiful product I will usually purchase a Katsura blank. I have used Katsura knives for custom knife projects for family, freinds, and customers alike and they are always beautiful when finished and the customer satisfied. The Katsura customer service is such that you feel like you are their only customer they have which is quite refreshing in this day and age.

Image shown does not match product delivered
These are really great knives and I’ve bought 4 kinds so far and they come out great. 4 stars not 5 because of 2 small issues1. The image is not accurate there is no darker metal in the etching as shown in all of the pictures which is a shame because it looks so good. If anyone knows how to get the dark etching please let me know2. One of the paring knives I bought had Pitts in the ferrel which I could not get out by sandingOther than that these are great knives for not a huge price, they hold and edge very well they appear to be made out of good steel (vg10) they are straight and they come out great just wish they would change the picture to what the knives actually look like. If you don’t know what I’m talking about look at any of the pictures posted of finished products and you will notice there is no dark metal on the blade.

A Very Nice Knife
This seems to be a well made knife blank. I prefer the skeleton tang because it lets the epoxy adhere to itself as well as the steel tank, and the 6mm pin is also a nice addition.

Super sharp, great project
I got this as my first knife kit to get into making knives, and i loved it. My first handle isn't that great but that has nothing to do with the kit itself. Comes in a nice box with rivets and a decorative pin. This thing is amazingly sharp, so take care to wrap the blade in protective tape when you're working on it. I'm planning on getting another KATSURA kit for my next project.

Sharpe!
I was worried these would be weak flimsy blades, however they were not! Nice and strong. I built three for my mummy dearest!

nice knife
It is a good looking blade and very sharp but its light and I dont like the pins or rivit type pins that it comes with.
