Excellent product
Bought these for bull-nose stairs which I was covering in textured vinyl as the dog had destroyed the carpet. They were easy to cut with a hacksaw and easy to install. My stairs are bullnosed so the vinyl does show below the edging strip but I had cut the vinyl to go right underneath. I tried 3 glues and nothing would stick the vinyl down. So, I've left it and it looks fine. The most time consuming part was getting the rubber treads back in the tracks. I did 12 steps so 24 rubber strips. The trick was to only pull the 2nd piece out to reveal the screw holes and trying not to let the first strip slip out. Then, after trying various methods i discovered the trick to the rubber strips. You need to use a twisting motion and press with alternate thumbs only moving up about a millimeter at a time. You hear a satisfying click each time. It does take quite a while but you just need patience. I'm really pleased with the finished project.

Easy to install
Used to join stair runner with landing carpet, easy to cut with jig saw. Didn’t use the plug as screws went in wood. Also removed the rubber inserts, looks much better

Door strip
Really pleased with the door strip, just what I wanted. Had to cut to size, but with an hacksaw was easy. I ran a thin scrapper blade in the groves to get the rubber strips back in first time, again no problem. Good price and sturdy.

Had to re-level bathroom floor so resulted in shallow step up from landing.
Bright aluminium stair edge made increase in floor level more obvious so less chance of tripping. Provided good finishing edge to new laminate floor in bathroom. Good match to other metalwork (shower enclosure frame etc.). Fast delivery, sensibly packaged in strong cardboard tube. Good strong product not too heavy gauge. Very pleased with end result.

May Need New Fixing Holes
Pre-drilled holes are in 'front' groove, consider drilling holes in 'rear' groove if your situation demands it. Supplied screws have soft heads, check if spare PH2 csk screws are around: you may need them if you ream the heads. Cut the synthetic rubber strips after fitting them NOT before if you can. If you can't, definitely cut as much oversize as possible, squeeze/push in from the ends: allow to relax/wait a while before trimming to final length. Having said all that, they do the business, decent price, look good and were delivered in very good time despite the current CV-19 pandemic.
