I am a full time software developer and wear these all day
I've been a software developer for 13 years and about 6 years ago I started to experience serious pain and inflammation in my wrists from both typing and using the mouse. I think with age my wrists could no longer endure the amount of work I put them through ever day. A doctor diagnosed me with cubital tunnel RSI in both wrists. The right hand, my mouse hand, was worse. There were days I could barely type due to pain which was extremely frustrating since writing code was my livelyhood. I spent about two years in pain and frustrating trying to get the problem under control: physical therapy, massage, cold compresses, and experimenting with my posture and keyboard/mouse setup.I took about two years to finally get the problem under control. There was no single magic bullet. I had to discovered numerous small changes to my work habits and desk setup to solve the problem. A key part of my solution were these gloves. For me the magic combination was:- Imak gloves on both hands (I wear them all day)- replace normal mouse with a Contour Rollermouse (a pretty unusual input device, but I love it. Note the RollerMouse 2 works well with these gloves, but the RollerMouse Red does not since the wrist pads will hit the input bar)- switch to a low impact, split keyboard (I used the Kinesis FreeStyle 2)- remove arms from my chair so I don't lean on my elbows- ergo specialist adjusting monitor, seat, and desk height- lots of stretching and breaks through out the dayI rate these gloves very highly because they make a huge difference to my comfort. I literally wear them 8+ hours a day, every day at work. They do look a little funny. I feel like spiderman with silk glands on my wrist, but these are what allow me to work. If I work just 30 minutes with the gloves off my wrists start to become sore and inflamed. I give these gloves credit for a large part of the solution, because at times I am away from my desk setup and just work on a laptop. With these gloves I can do this comfortable. The gloves let my hands relax on the desk while keeping my wrists inline with my forearms for proper typing posture. Also, the gloves are soft, which gives my hands normal freedom of movement. I had tried stiff gloves previously and while that reduced wrist strain in caused other problems due to overly restricted motion. Some notes on the gloves- they seem to run small. I have small hands for a guy and large fits me- over time the wrist padding breaks down, so I replace them every 2 years- they seem fine going in the laundry- the gloves primary support the wrist vertically to keep your hand and forearm inline. If your issue is other misalignment, like rotating your wrists inward/outward, then I don't think these gloves will help as much since they control movement a bit in this direction, but not as much as stiff gloves

If perfection doesn't exist, then I don't know how to describe this.
The IMAK RSI SmartGlove is an item of the rarest class.I say this because has all the fundamental qualities of a perfect product.Elegant design:-Its form is its function (and vice versa).-It does exactly what it is made to do, nothing more, nothing less. To put it another way, I don't know of any change that could be made to improve it.Inherently durable:-After almost 8 years of use, mine has no holes, frays or any compromise in the integrity of the materials.-Has retained it's shape despite being machine washed countless times, and machine dried just as many.-No change in it's effectiveness. It works the same as the day I first received it.bought mine in 2015 and have used it almost daily ever since. nearly eight years I'veusively I have my first one in 2015 and the first one I bought in this is evident.Unparalleled value:Inexpensive? YesCheap? No (See durability section above)-You don't get what you pay for, because pain relief is priceless.I feel that this is a honest and concise overview of my experience with this product. And though I wish everyone could be as satisfied as I have been, I know that won't always be the case.My review is my point of view. Now go read some others. The more you read, the more useful each one becomes.

+Helps a lot with wrist pain. -Comfort issues with size (no XL available).
The brace helps encourage you to keep your wrist straight and reduce pain from bad wrist posture or carpel tunnel. I ordered this primarily for the padding on the heel of the palm, but I was shocked how immediate and effective the brace itself was.The beans in the pad help reduce pressure on the heel of your wrist. They can bunch sometimes and need to be readjusted, but the same can happen with stand-alone wrist rests. The pad can sometimes interfere with moving your mouse, but I think a mouse with a shorter form factor may help with that. The main benefit of the pad is that it doesn't slide around like a stand-alone wrist rest, which I've always found to be clumsy.Unfortunately, the largest size available was Large and I probably need an XL. The compression is a bit too tight on me, and the hem digs into my forearm sometimes. The cutout around the thumb is also very tight on me, and the hem/strap that goes between the thumb and index finger is so uncomfortable I just pull it back and set it behind my thumb.

No support whatsoever
Awful product that is not adjustable and does not offer anything other than uncomfortable beads that move around under the wrist section. Sizing is off to the point of it being nothing more than a plain glove. Customer service is also sub par, had to pay for shipping and would not refund me. Not happy with this experience. Shop from Amazon from now on.

Helpful glove!
So far, so good. It is already helping me greatly with my advanced carpal tunnel symptoms. I'm hopeful that arthritis pain will lessen, as well. I agree with another reviewer, who had previously found a bean bag pad to be more trouble-causing in the past. Having the bean bag section as part of the glove, it moves with your hand, and seems to minimize the pressure and discomfort. I have rather large hands, and got the large size. While it is comfortable, it might be a wee bit roomy, so I might also order a medium to try and compare. Being black, it does get a little worn-looking quickly, especially if you have a couple of gold-colored dogs, so I planned to order a back-up glove anyway, to always have one on hand (no pun intended) while one is being laundered/dried. All in all, it seems like a very good product!
