OA QUINOA Now Greenfit | Red Quinoa (10 Lb)

Q: Hello! How do you cook red quinoa? Mine just won't popped........so I stop using red quinoa and went back to white....

I find if you use too much fillers in your liquid such as stock and juice it wont pop. It likes straight water. I do mine in a rice cooker and it comes out beautiful. Red quinoa is a tough one. I typically use a 1:1.33 ratio because i like mine to be a little al dente but red quinoa requires 1:1.75 ratio. Different brands have different results too. Red quinoa and jasmine rice are my nemesis but I refuse to give up

Q: why is it 33% larger than other quinoa grains?

No clue!! The grains are exactly like other quinoa that I've purchased.

Q: This gets bugs before i finish it. Can it be stored in the freezer to prevent this?

I have not seen bugs, but cooler storage will help.

Q: Serving size in cups please

Standard serving per person of dry quinoa is 1/4 cup.
