A great cd of 1930 and 1940’s songs, especially those popular during WWII.

Is exactly what I wanted in good shape.

Listening to this CD I can understand why the big band sound was so much a part of the 1930s and 1940s! Yesterday a group of women's clubs in my area held a fundraiser for the March of Dimes, founded in 1938. As club members marched around the room to donate what they had raised in their meetings, this CD played in the background. It was the perfect way to "set the scene" and we let the music play for the rest of the meeting. Count Basie, Benny Goodman, Duke Ellington, Louis Armstrong, Glenn Miller, Harry James, Jimmy and Tommy Dorsey and a lot more -- the Big Band Sound is alive and well, and fabulous, on this CD!

I have bought several CDs from the Past Perfect label and they are wonderful. Really authentic big band music from artists you don't every day. Absolutely delightful.

I live in an Assisted Living facility and am in charge of playing music in the dinning room at meal times. These elderly residents love to hear the 'Big Band" music along with the World War 11 songs they are so familiar with!!!

Great sound and uplifting. It's a joy to watch our kids dancing and smiling to the various rhythms.
