I have a lot of experience sharpening knives and many stones including natural stones and oil stones, this is the worst stone I have ever held in my hands.Soft as butter, creates pools of sludge and quickly wears down and requires straightening after a few passes with the knife.I thought it was a quality stone from a serious manufacturer, I was wrong.This is a very bad buy.

Great product. No need to spend hundreds, when these stones are there. Great value. Just don't forget to strop when done.

Best stones I ever used

I was excited to get some decent edges on my German knives. After about 15 minutes of use on the 320 grit side, no burr was formed on my 57 Rockwell chef’s knife. A huge bow in the stone was formed which made it impossible to get a straight edge. The slurry that was formed while trying to sharpen my knife didn’t have any metal in it, it was just white (the color of the stone). The stone is too soft and clayish like buildup was forming on the stone which was incredibly thick and slippery. Absolute waste of money. Don’t you dare buy this garbage. That picture included was the stone on a flat surface after just 15 minutes of use.
