Great MP3 player
I recently purchased this MP3 player, and it has exceeded my expectations in every way! The picture and video quality are outstanding, with a clear and vibrant screen that makes viewing a pleasure. It also has fantastic radio options, giving me a variety of stations to enjoy on the go. One of my favorite features is the ability to read books directly from the device, which adds a whole new layer of functionality. The design is sleek and stylish, and the small size makes it incredibly portable. It also has an easy grip, so it feels secure in your hand while using it. Overall, this MP3 player is a perfect combination of form and function. Highly recommend!

Sounds OK but not for people with large fingers
I bought this to take the beach or while working out vs always using my phone. Sounds fine and easy to operate but HUGE issue is volume knob still adjusts volume even when screen locked. If you have in your pocket as most would you suddenly could have your ears blown out if the volume is raised too high as the knob turns very easily and that will happen while in a pocket. They need to fix this issue with a firmware update and then it would be a great inexpensive portable music player. I am debating on returning this because of this MAJOR issue.Update: Contacted manufacturer and they provided firmware update that fixed the volume knob issue. This manufacturer offers great after sales service and very responsive on email which is rate these days. The unit is very small so pocket friendly and sound quality is good with volume knob issue fixed. If you have large fingers you may want to check out thier other models.

Complete junk
I'm leaving a 1 star review before returning this MECHEN D53 to Amazon. The controls (dial, back/fwd buttons, and touchscreen) work against each other, or don't do anything at all.The dial is imprecise and flaky, randomly reversing directions (like, menu selection or volume goes up-up-down-up-down when you spin it IN THE SAME DIRECTION). Keep scrolling clockwise continually, and the volume erratically increases all the way up from 0 to ... 31? But even at "max volume", the actual volume is low and weak, and audio quality is like AM radio. The dial isn't a button either, nor does it function like a D-pad (up-down-left-right) - so in the menus, you can scroll around as long as you can put up with the imprecision - but then you have to touch the screen anyway to select anything. There's no physical OK or Back or Play/Pause buttons - It's just a small touchscreen over bad and buggy software, with a dial bolted onto the interface. What's the difference between "Now playing" vs. "Now playing list"? "Format internal memory" vs. "Format SD card"? (Trick question, neither one does anything! You have to manage files from a Windows PC, for which the manual recommends... Windows Media Player.) Option B is to copy music through Explorer into a flat hierarchy, so have fun renaming and redoing metadata for all your music. At approx. 2-3 MB/sec. for transfers.Battery life goes from 4 to 3 bars pretty much when you play a single track. The MECHEN D53 did come with a 64 GB microSD card - completely unbranded except for "64GB" on one side - and if you ejected it to inspect the card, good luck getting it locked back in the slot. It can be done eventually, with extreme care, but it's impossible to miss the lack of quality control. I mean: insert card into slot, and then... no? Try again, keep trying.Bluetooth drops out constantly. AAC-LC isn't supported with Bluetooth. Video only supports AVI and, uh, AMV. The front REW/FF buttons don't do anything after you start a song - yup, you have to go back through the menus to find the screen with those touch controls. FM radio needs wired headphones to work (other cheap players have the same limitation, true), but MECHEN buries that requirement in the manual. So yeah, technically it could work, you just have to use "wired headphones ... to listen to radio by Bluetooth".1 star. Unusuable junk.

Volume knob is annoying
I took this device with me to work and the volume would change constantly. The knob is too sensitive in the pocket but not fully responsive by hand. It was built nice and felt premium but I just could not get over the knob.

Great mp3 player!
This mp3 player is the perfect size, & has a little weight to it indicating that is made of quality materials. I like the touch screen & the fm radio feature. Very easy to use & battery is exceptional.

Does not hold playlist
This mp3 does not hold your playlists so if your a guy that likes his work out music ready when you get to the gym don’t get this. Also the volume is to sensitive when you put in your pocket it will either go really loud or you can’t hear it

Sounds great, but missing key item
This MP3 player is built well and has a good DAC, but it's missing a graphic equalizer function.

Buetooth fails + very slow transfer speed
- transfer speed unacceptably slow- Bluetooth failed and speakers never connected after many attempts- comparable experience to a cheap device I bought in 2005.I spent several hours overnight transferring audiobooks onto the internal memory, only to realize that the Bluetooth connection failed (as reported by multiple others). Besides that, the menu wasn't great: audiobooks that came in multiple files (say one file per chapter) were difficult to view. Oh and the folder names were truncated, with the result that titles appeared like "Gone with the W" and similar.Returned within 24 hours.
