Awesome for small work
This is such a handy tool. Unless you do a lot of jewelry work, you don't need something like this very often, but when you do there is no alternative. Compact, sturdy, super useful for fine drilling.

Good Precision Hand Drill With Pin Bits
This precision pin hand drill arrived packed well in foam inside a plastic case with another plastic tube holder for the 26 precision pin bits. The tip of the 1.8mm bit arrived broken, and the thinner diameter bits that are less than 0.8mm seem very delicate. The bits are not marked with their sizes and arrive all together so it is difficult to differentiate between them without the use of digital calipers to individually measure their diameter. The smaller diameter bits less than 0.6mm actually stick to the side of the plastic tube when trying to get them out due to static. The hand drill has an adjustable vise grip and attaches the pin bits with a twist. It was easily able to drill a hole with the 1.0mm and 1.5mm bits into plastic and wood, but took a bit more effort to drill by hand with anything larger than that. When used on a zinc alloy bracelet charm that is 1.5mm thick, it took 3-4 minutes of nonstop hand drilling with moderate downward pressure on the turns to put a hole through the charm with the 0.8mm bit, and the hole was made cleanly with no burrs. The larger bits will definitely take longer, and the smaller bits may require finesse to keep them from snapping. Also note that too much pressure causes the bits to slip into the vise grips, where they need to be pulled out and the grip retightened. This happened 2 times when drilling though the bracelet charm, and was rectified by using less downward pressure. The spinning action on the hand drill worked well but needed a drop of PTFE lubricant to be slightly smoother when actively drilling through something, after which it was fixed and did not recur. Overall, this is a good hand drill with a decent set of pin bits, and is useful where a powered drill is too cumbersome and doesn't have enough precision.
