Works perfectly
Such a simple concept but I've tried several that don't work. This one does. I have a small water pump with a pressurized tank that doesn't have a backflow prevention valve, so as soon as the pressure tank reaches pressure and the pump turns off, all of the water is forced back out through the inlet and the pump would turn on again for a nonstop cyclical process. This was a very cheap solution to totally prevent that from happening as nothing can flow back out through the inlet.

This isn't suitable for carbonated water systems
I bought this check valve because I was installing a carbonated water tap in my home. I installed this and still the water to my whole home ended up being carbonated (shower, toilet, etc.). Turns out you need a special check valve for carbonated water systems. This item otherwise seemed like a good product. It just wasn't what I needed.

Looks reliable.
I am installing this check valve as part of a yard faucet (in-ground installation), to keep hose water from returning to the water line when the line pressure fluctuates and the hose is turned off at the nozzle. From pushing on the moving parts, I feel this check valve will last long underground and not leak through.

Great product
I ended up returning this because I accidentally bought it and needed the half inch instead. That being said I installed the half inch which is identical besides the width and it works great. I'm using it to bypass an old spring and ball check valve on a 130 PSI 20 gallon compressor!

Doesn't Thread on as Advertised
Either it doesn't fit 3/4" as advertised or it Is the hardest threads ever to start.I can't even get it onto my pipes because of the threading. Not worth the purchase.

Works good when it seals correctly
This works good when it works right. often the valve doesn't seal (1 in 10 times)so all the pressure leaks out of our pressure tank and the pump has to turn on to refill it again. I have tried the valve in vertical and horizontal positions and find it works best in the vertical position. The valve is spring loaded so it engages quickly limiting water hammer. I can't figure why it doesn't always seal like it should.
