Q: How do you clean it? Is it machine washable?

I washed the belt in the machine on gentle cycle and laid it on the floor heat vent, where it quickly dried. Next time, I will pretreat food stains, because they didn't all come out. Our biggest problem is that the stitching holding the two pieces together broke, and I had to resew on my machine.

Q: Who is the manufacturer to get istructions from about product usage?

It comes with instructions. Basically has a 3 point system. Like a t shape. Goes between legs and up around waist. Put the cluos behind the wheelchair or scooter back rest and tighten. Person sits on middle and other half goes behind and comes out back of wheelchair behind lower back of person. This is fastened and tightened and stays clipped onto chair. So the belt is opened at the top back strap and then dropped down in front of the person to get them out of chair.
