What excellent value.
This was an excellent remote control that worked as soon as I put the batteries in with no set up procedures.It arrived the next day well packaged and ready for use I was very impressed.

NOT workable replacement
Do not buy. Some functions do not work which means it’s NOT a like for like replacement. Especially when playing DVD player

Worked right out of the box
Ordered these as original remotes were becoming slow. These were instant and a lot cheaper than Samsung. A bit of research and we learned we should periodically remove back and gently wipe inside with an alcohol wipe (which we already had). Tried this on a slowing LG tv remote and there was an improvement, also the wipe cleans remote buttons. Will definitely clean new gadgets and they should last a long time.

A good copy but features missing
This is a very good copy of the original Samsung remote that came with our TV with additional useful app buttons. I prefer the feel of the original directional and select buttons but the rubber on the replacement isn't bad.I wish I'd known about the downsides though, which I'm surprised I didn't see in any other reviews.There's no indicator light (the hole is there but there's nothing in there) and there's no microphone. These aren't really a problem for me though.The copy is so accurate that it even shows the pairing instructions under the cover... but there's no pairing function! This means it's an IR remote only (line of sight needed). Again, not a huge problem but, on my TV, that means changing the volume is painfully slow and this might be a deal breaker. This might have something to do with our setup as the normal Samsung IR remote is also slow at changing the volume, but we don't have a problem with the connected smart control.In short, it seems well built and looks good but, you should be aware of the limitations before buying.

The real deal
Following an entirely avoidable accident involving the old remote and a mug of coffee I had urgent need of a replacement remote. Looking around some were going for silly prices, when I saw this item listed. I ordered it, it arrived the following afternoon, fresh set of batteries, and…it’s perfect. It’s crisp, brand new, works perfectly, as far as I can tell the only difference is that it doesn’t have Samsung printed across the bottom. For me that’s not a deal breaker. What matters is all the buttons do what they’re meant to do. So, if you lose it, the dog buries it, someone helpfully treads on it, or aliens abduct it, don’t worry, this one has your back! There is no setup other than inserting the batteries.
