I assume you mean the Sonru is in transmit mode and won't connect to your Bose speaker. I had a similar, although not identical, issue when trying to pair the Sonru with my headphones. The issue turned out to be that I had also paired my headphones with my phone. The solution was to switch off the bluetooth on my phone, the Sonru paired right away after that. It's just that you can't have 2 devices transmitting to the headphones/speaker at the same time. Hope that helps.

No, sorry. I plug it into my cd player headphone socket and use it with my wireless Sony Bluetooth headphones. It works perfectly. I have no knowledge of hearing aids. I would guess using the same method you use to connect to your TV or music player with them (if indeed you do that) may work? Good luck.
