This product was a lifesaver. As a caregiver I could get a better night's sleep knowing if Mom got up I would be immediately alerted.

This is a wonderful product. I care for my father who has frequent falls at night. Since purchasing he has not fallen due to the alerts. I can hear it alarm wherever I am because the box is mobile. I am a nurse as well and would recommend this to anyone caring for someone at home.

The product works as advertised. So I really have no complaints there. The only things I noticed so far is that I wish the alarm/chime volume option was more than Low-Med-High. I only use 'Low' as the Med and High are quite loud. Basically it would be perfect (at least for my ears [at night/bedtime]) if the 'Low' could go "just a tad" lower. But I suppose you could always muffle the sound with some material, cloth, etc., if you want it to be a little lower or softer/easier on the ears. I'm not a hard/deep sleeper; therefore the chime alarm, on Low, really wakes me up at night. To the point of I'm literally jumping up quickly out of bed or reaching to silence it promptly.The other thing is that the instructions/directions for this product are not good at all. I found the instructions hard to follow in pairing the pad and sensor. The instructions were somewhat all over the place. Nevertheless, I figured it out. No product's instructions/directions should be this hard to follow. Hence my only giving it 4.3 stars. On a side-note, I elected to purchase the adapter for using electricity. It gives the flexibility to preserve battery-life.

Caring for an elderly relative needed to make changes to her home to ensure she is safe. Post surgery she was using a walker and unsteady on her feet and getting in and out of bed. Overnight she gets up at least three times to go to the bathroom. What a smart invention matt is on the floor and when on when she steps down a sound alerts someone she is getting out of bed allowing assistance to take her to the bathroom. Setup very easy and matt is flush and tight with the floor. No tripping concerns. Can't recommend enough.

We ordered this mat for the floor at my mother's bedside. It has relieved so much of our stress! My mother is 89 and has Altzeimer's and we take care of her 24/7 at our home. We were only using a baby monitor prior to getting this mat and between three of us were very sleep deprived! Thankfully, she doesn't wander and is mostly immobile as her disease progresses, but she sometimes forgets that she falls easily, loses her balance or her legs just don't work like they used to. The only thing that I wish we could change was the tone of the chime, it is more like a loud piercing doorbell even at the lowest setting but it certainly wakes us up when Mom's feet touch the pad. We are in her room across the house quickly after hearing the "chime" and I'm sure she wonders sometimes if we are sleeping outside her bedroom because we're there so quickly to ease her fear or help her to the bathroom. We've told others that we know with similar circumstances about this product, it trully is a wonderful thing to have.

At first, i was very happy with this product, I have an elderly mother that has been falling a lot. We bought the mat so that we would be notified when she's getting out of her bed. The first day it worked great, the second day is was going off when no one was stepping on it. Now just this morning, it didn't go off when she stepped on it, she had a fall and was on the floor for 10 mins before anyone knew she had fallen. And now it's going off again and no one is stepping on it. I would not recommend this product because it is not reliable. It would be a great product if it worked properly. My mother could have been really injured, thankfully she is ok.

The media could not be loaded. This was purchased for my father with Alzheimer’s to prevent falls. We have had two ER trips with staples and stitches in his head until we purchased this. We had to follow instructions to set the mat but they were easy to follow. I highly recommend buying the adapter for the portable chime so you don’t have to worry about batteries. (The mat on the floor has no plugin wire which is great! It is wireless!) The “low” mode chime is a great volume level, it is not piercing and a calming chime but loud enough to wake you. My mom uses the chime mode at her bedside and brings it in another room when he naps. It is GOD SENT! She just has to remember to turn it back on in the middle of the night after she assists him. (We also use a baby video monitor in addition). EXCELLENT product! Highly recommended and puts the caregiver at ease. This has changed my life at night as a caregiver!
