Works well to save on filters!
The media could not be loaded. I ended up attaching this to my smaller shop vac for the laser engraving area since my system is in the shed and get very dusty and leaves get in with all the trees around. The setup is very easy and used a reinforced cover on a 30 gallon HDPE drum that's also easy to take off with the plastic ring. It ended up bigger than I liked but also wanted minimal duct length. I used an elongated 90 degree PVC pipe to make sure I'm not losing a ton of CFM.It's working well so far and the suction hasn't slowed down. While the shop vac has it's own filter, it's hardly dirty and keeping it nice and clean. The filter at least filters out any fine dust and particles which I've seen a huge difference. The unit is also very well made and seems durable.I almost didn't catch this product and maybe the way the product photo was shot so something the vendor can keep in mind and perhaps, more visuals for the actual product being used. But, I'm glad I found this product!

Better than I ever imagined!
Highly impressed with this cyclone dust separator. Tested it on a rather large amount of saw dust that was on the shop floor, it have it attached atop a 22 gallon plastic drum and then to an 8 gallon 4.5 HP shop vac brand vacuum. I'd say 99.9% of the saw dust is in the plastic drum. Unbelievable. Highly recommend this one.

Works for Me
The Quick Click Dust Collection Separator has been working great for the month since I put it into service. Other DIY cyclonic dust separator builders have had issues attempting to use 15-16 gallon plastic buckets as a dust receptacle because they collapsed under vacuum. I went with a 16 gallons VEVOR Fryer Grease Bucket (also available on Amazon). This strong metal bucket does not have that problem. It provides an ample volume for dust and has a very good soft rubber seal with clips holding the lid down. The included mobile base makes it easy to move the separator around the shop. A 4" hole saw provided a perfectly sized hole in the cover to mount the Quick Click Dust Separator. The 4 machine screws and rubber seal provided with the separator mount it to the bucket and provides an excellent seal. I like the option to connect 2-1/4" shop vac hoses or 2-1/2" hoses. The overall construction seem better than other plastic separators. I'd buy is again.

reasonable price and it works!!
works great. just hook it up to my shop vac and it takes the dust out before it gets to the vacuum.

Very effective separator
I have this hooked up to my planer, and it doesn't really require any additional dust collection from the exhaust. I may try to hook up something to capture the more fine/invisible exhaust dust, but so far, the planer blows so much harder than the shop-vac pulls, that it requires more trouble than it's been worth.I have a different and slightly smaller diameter separator for use with other tools, this one is superior wrt air flow capacity. The base connection is very solid and easy to install. If you're using this inline with a standard shop vac, the hose will "just fit" INSIDE the ports, though you may want to investigate 90" turns etc. My calipers say the OD of the port is 2 71/128" and the ID is 2 5/16", so plan accordingly if you're going to try to fit over the port vs inside. FWIW the powertec 2 1/2" flexible hose fit over the ports very snug.Eyeballing the dimensions: 13 1/2" tall, and about 10" diameter. Buckets may vary a bit, but my pairing was 27 7/8" tall to the lip of the top dust port, so If you're planning placing it under things, do some math especially if you need to connect a hose to the top. Also, yes, the translucent bit is nice to watch your chips fly around and not up into the air.

Know your sucking power of Wet Vac
This Dust Collection Separator works great with a solid metal container or plastic container with supported walls. The plastic container walls collapsed inward due to the sucking power of the wet vac.

Outstanding Product/Support
I ordered this product for use on my Blast Cabinet. Like most of the post on Blast Cabinets finding, adapters to go from the various vacuum hoses and connections is a major issue. I contacted Cen-Tec about my issues. They requested additional information and immediately provided assistance to resolve my issues. Not only do they make an outstanding product, their support is outstanding as well. I highly recommend Cen-Tec products
