THERMOS Stainless King Vacuum-Insulated Travel Mug, 16 Ounce, Matte Stainless Steel

I received and used this Thermos cup today. First impressions are that it is definitely 5-star quality. I chose it for the the graceful design and the size. I’ve had Yeti, but they are often too bulky for my taste. I also liked the color selections and chose the midnight blue. It’s a really nice rich color. The finish has a deep hue and a high quality feel.At 14 oz, this is a perfect size for commuting or traveling. I had some concern about how long this one would keep coffee hot because I’m a sipper and a cup can last me for three hours or more. I rarely finish a cup that is actually warm unless it is left on a warmer.I prefer a handle when and the open end of the handle makes it eqsy to hang the cup on something if my hands are full The cap is designed really well, and when closed the cup can’t leak even when the coffee is hot. It appears that hot coffee will exert extra pressure on the inside causing the inner seal ro press more tightly. That’s a nice feature. The cap opens with a lever that makes it easy to open or close the lid withjout using two hands. Also you can drink coffee from either side of the mug, i.e., left or right handed. Actually, I was wondering if the lever would bump against my nose, but it is designed to be off to the side when open. With the lid is in the open, it let’s a reasonable amount of coffee through, but with any care at all, you won’t be likely to burn yourself because it's easy to regulate the amount coming into the “sipping tray” part of the lid.So the first test: I made coffee at 1 PM and an hour later, the coffee was still remarkably hot. Rather than test the long-term holding power, I decided to leave the lid open to see how quickly tmy coffee would cool. What a surprise: I finished the coffee at 6 pm and it was still a very pleasant drinking temperature. Five hours is better than my Ember cup by far! Finally, when I came home s disassembled the lid to wash it and it was very easy and intuitive.Honestly, for the money, I’d say it is the best hot cup I've purchased, and I’ve gone through quite a few. Definitely would recommend it.

I purchased this as a backup to the same one I currently use. It keeps coffee as hot as the minute it was brewed for hours. In fact I think I actually drink less coffee because I have to sip it because it remains too hot to gulp for so long.

great quality thermos, I make my coffee at 6am and take it to work, at 3pm the leftover coffee is still warm.highly recommend this product, exactly what I was looking for.

There is not anything "cheaply" made about this item. The drinking spout is the best I have ever had ... no dripping or scalding coffee coming at you in a torrent. Some engineer really took the time to come up with an ingeniously made lid. Also, it would seem to fit any cup holder.Would definitely recommend getting the Thermos that has the handle.So glad I bought this one ... threw my other one away.This is the Cadillac of insulated mugs!!

Great cup for coffee or other hot beverage. Keeps hot for several hours. Down side is the cleaning. Once you take the seal off it is nearly impossible to get it back on. Several components to the lid that must be cleaned especially if you use it for anything but clear liquids. I have three, but once they are washed I need to set down with the lids and put them back together again because it takes awhile to get the seals on properly.

It's Sad that Thermos took the route of what appears to be a laminate as opposed to a Powder Coat or other form of baked coating. This would otherwise be an easy 5 Star as this cup (I have 2), truly holds temp. Cold is cold approx 2 hrs before getting cool. Hot is a solid 2 hrs with a respectable several degrees of warm for a couple hrs more. I've had other brands but this is by far the best. So I contacted them directly, the warranty department requested some info, told me "be sure it's accurate", & voila! 3 days later, Not 3 months, or even 3 wks, but 3 days later I received a brand New Replacement. How's that for a WOW?! Some may say "its just a mug" but I say "show me warranty combined with quality service & I'll show you a quality product, i.e. Thermos Stainless Insulated Mug." No choice but to give that extra star, more if I could. Bear in mind the faulty laminate in no way affected performance. As an FYI, I re-tested for heat & I'm getting a solid 3 hrs of Hot with a couple more still warm. This of course varies according to usage, like ow much you open the lid etc. I'm not big on cold drinks, but will update once I've retested. This is a 5 yr warranty that was honored. No disappointments. It does keep your coffee hot for a few hours. Worth the investment.
