Easy to install, and works with Home Assistant
My old mechanical timer finally died for my pool pump and I got this as the replacement. It was simple to connect to my WiFi and allows me to control the pump via Home Assistant, which is a big plus for me.

Once installed, it works perfectly!
I can rewire outlets in my home, new lighting fixtures and generally have an understanding of how home power works. So I went into this with a bit of confidence that I could do this. The instructions in the box were very poor, and so after looking at my manual pool timer and this one, the wires didn't match up. I ended up searching the brand name wiring instructions on Youtube and found a video from the manufacturer that goes through the wiring step by step. This is what saved me. If you know the terminology being used (power vs load vs neutral vs ground), you're set.Once I wired my pool pump and got the jumper wire in place, the device turned on first try, connected to my wifi and powered my pool pump.I couldn't be happier with how this turned out. We'll see how this holds up in Texas sun and heat, but so far I'm very pleased with the performance! Backwashing is that much more simple now that I don't have to walk back and forth to my control box and my filter to turn it on and off. Plus, I can adjust my schedule from in the house and turn the pump on and off manually from my phone. The app itself is very straight forward and I have no complaints. It did what it was supposed to do and all of the scheduling worked the first try.Wifi performance was my biggest concern. I don't have an outdoor wifi radio, and my pool pump is right at the range where my phone won't stay connected to the Wifi all the time. Even the app tells me my Wifi performance is "poor" and the device should be relocated, but it has a 100% track record of responding to every single command I give it, so I'm not going to make any changes.Overall, I would highly recommend this. I'll likely buy a second for backup, but I'm just through the moon excited to have a bit more flexibility and convenience with my pool pump!

Love it
Does the job perfectly. Replaced a more expensive manual timer with this unit, and you can control it with your phone. No more loose pins.

Easy to install - solid so far
To put in context: I went through two Sonoff POWR3 units for controlling my water heater, but both melted for some reason. So I went into using this product with some reservations. However, my initial experience has been very positive. The unit looks pretty nice, albeit a little light due to the plastic construction. I'm not going hold that against this product because this is a Wifi product and the wireless signal needs to penetrate the housing. One thing I really like is the fact that the main "controller" piece inside is removable and is snapped in, which makes wiring much easier because one has to deal with the thick 10 gauge wires. The mounting options are quite sufficient to keep the unit secure on my wall. The included user manual is plenty clear, with diagrams, and include proper jumpers to allow hookups and connection in matter of minutes (less than an hour including mounting and all). I did use a laser thermometer to make sure that the unit does not run hot (given my past experience with the melted Sonoff POWR3); I did not see any abnormal temperature. Note that I'm not using any of the features provided by the app because I'm using Home Assistant to automate my home, so integration with Alexa was sufficient for me to automate this device. So far, I'm happy with this purchase, but will keep an eye out to see if this thing will last. It's a conditional recommendation from me, pending an updated review in a few months.

Product is junk, manufacturer and support is worse
I bought this unit in March of 23. It is July of 24. This pile of garbage has a 1 year warranty. Do you want to know why? Because it will fail around the 1 year mark. As me how I know. First, it's plastic garbage. It discolored within days of being in the sun. The rubber seal on the door expands and doesn't seal properly, so much so that the screw inside the box has started to rust. The unit even has minor dust and debris inside due to it's lack of sealing properly. Now comes the app that's atrocious, laggy and often doesn't connect, leaving your device not turned on or off. Next comes service. I emailed this swamp and it takes greater than 24 hours to hear back from every email while your pool lies dormant. Then this rocket scientist Rachel has you long press the button on the unit which disconnects it from your app and renders the timer completely useless. In my case the unit is buzzing when it attempts to fire the pool pump and intermittently turns the system on and off. Since their response time was so poor, I ordered another one as I had an inkling they wouldn't stand behind their product and couldn't have the pool lie dead. Since dealing with their customer service, I will be returning this one immediately and going in a different direction. If you buy this product or anything from this manufacturer after reading this, you need your head examined.
