Works pretty well
Purchased because I have switched over to using Henna instead of traditional hair dye. I've noticed that my hair is definitely healthier and the overall color coverage is good. I use another brand in red and brown and I love how they look on my "non-new growth" hair. Since I have some salt and pepper spots, I've seen that indigo is supposed to help combat your hair from looking too orange or green. The color is definitely darker. I still have not perfected my application because I can't seem to get even coverage, which have anything to do with this product. All user error/inexperience/lack of patience. I do love that it has an interior bag, which helps keep it from getting too messy. The other brand is a bag in a cardboard box, which once the bag is open, it's just open. This one I didn't have to put it in a ziploc bag to keep it from spilling while not in use.

Worked to make hair brown
I've been using henna for several months. My hair is mostly white, especially my crown. I thought it if I kept using it my hair would become more auburn. I mixed a heaping tablespoon of henna in some water and let it sit overnight. The next day I added 3 heaping tablespoons to my glass measuring cup of the indigo and a teaspoon of salt. Added boiling water until I had about 1 ~ 8 oz cup of indigo mixture. Put on my unwashed hair for 3 hours & wore a plastic shower cap. It was hard to rinse out. Has a bit of residue gumminess so I had to put some conditioner in my hair to be able to comb through my hair with my fingers. Henna & Indigo give me headaches too. I always take a benedryl before I use it, and sometimes one after as well. I need to wait one more day to wash so I'll update if it washes out. I am somewhat new to using natural dyes. I'm happy to be closer to my natural hair color. My roots (which were just coming in) are a blueish green color, lol. But it's not super noticeable. Update, it has stayed brown and I just redid my roots with the red henna. I did not get a headache this time! I premixed my henna and didn't get to it for a day. The longest I have let it stay mixed in a jar is 10 days. (Covered in the fridge) I warm it up in the microwave. No headache when premixed, it worked perfectly. Update: still doing the regimen but always Henna first, wait a week or so, then Indigo. The indigo is darkening my hair each time. So now I'm careful just to put it on my roots so my hair doesn't get black. My hair is supet healthy although this regimen is time consuming and tedious.

Okay
Cost effective. Takes too long for results. Each step typically takes 2-3 hours for the best results.

No color
Don't waste your money. This product does not work at all and is just an entire waste of time. I used it on myself and it gave me headaches with no real result and I've used it 3 times.

Good Quality, Never Disappointed me!!
I've been using this indigo powder for the past six months, and it has never disappointed me. I normally apply this powder after the henna application. I mixed this powder with cold water and applied it immediately, waiting 1 hour before washing with water and no shampoo. This method worked well for me to get the nice black color hair without the use of chemical dyes. Definitely worth trying this product if anyone like natural hair color.

True indigo powder
I was a bit worried about the bad stories I had heard about some indigo powders. So I did the color test, paper towel test and smell test before applying.I did the two step henna and indigo because I wanted to get rid of the two toned hair I had from the old hair dye and get rid of some grays. The henna was very smooth and creamy and I had a lot of left over. So my mistake was to treat indigo the same. I made less of it and when I stared applying I noticed it was gritty and heavy and took more than what I thought. So I was not able to fully saturate my hair like I was supposed to. It was a bit more difficult to wash out. But I am so glad my scalp and hair did good with it no bad reactions. The grays didn’t cover but the rest of my hair looks good! So next time I will mix more indigo.
