Drama!
Drama is a graphic book illustrated by raina telgemeier, one of my favorite authors and illustrators ! The books protaginist is a young girl called callie who is funky, full of ideas ,determined and has a passion for drama! The book covers some very good and important issues like being gay or lesbian. As drama unfolds callie discovers some new friends. They are twin brothers and are gay . But thete is a difference that seperates these two budding actors. Jesse is shy and unable to express his feelings about being gay whereas Justin is extremely open about being gay and feels extremely comfortable . Will Jesse be able to feel comfortable and open when expressing his feelinhs a bout being gay.I also loved watching callie and her friends create there show and produce it . The drawings are excellent and the plot is 10 out of 10!!!!!!!On the night of a big dance something upsets Callie( i dont want to tell you or i might spoil it for you !) . Will callie be able to control her feelings and be able to understand the life of her gay friends and will the show be able to go on despite a disaster in rehearsels? This is an excellent book that will make young readers more aware of LGBT and should help gay or lesbian people to feel free and happy about being themselves ! I cant wait for the next book Raina Telgemeier writes! :) :) :)

Great
My 8 year old loves these comic style books. In her words “I love the way they’ve done a show in it and there’s twists in it and I find it very interesting “ she loves the twists in the story.Easy to read for my 8 year old but she is a strong reader anyway

The sound of success !
I liked this graphic novel more than I thought I would.I read some rather negative reviews but still wanted to buy it because of how great Raina's other graphic novels were.ie,Smile and Sisters.Yes,boyfriends were involved,so was creativity and other good feelings so all in all,a good read.It was also good to read about people's enthusiasm for stage and theatre...,and costumes,of course.Maybe Not the basement though !The progression of the characters,in life as well as on stage, was great to see.As you would expect, ideas were the mainstay of the book. Both For the book and In it too.I was really rooting for Callie at the end - such innovation ! The audience loved it too.An excellent performance.

I love this book it's funny and adorable it made me laugh out loud a lot and the front cover was very good it was not tatty or ruined and the pages were fine BUT the blurb was smudged I could not read half of it! But it was brilliant that was the only problem.
