Perfect Replacement
Worked great to replace the worn screw drive bit! I kept the old cartridge, so that I don't need to take out the pull arm, and release pull string. Was looking around trying to find theetal screw drive bit alone, bit couldn't find it. So this is the cheapest I can find. Strongly recommended!

Finally a third company found the reason my garage door didn’t engage. This part was stripped.

The problem was the screw, not the carriage.
Screw drive opener quit working. The carriage or trolley was badly damaged. The metal part that connects with the screw had been ripped out. Installed new carriage. No problem as long as the garage door was NOT attached to the trolley. But with garage door attached, the trolley stalled between two sections. The sections were misaligned preventing the trolley from passing from one to the other. This was the do-it-yourself product where the screw drive comes in sections which must be joined before installation. There's a gap between sections which the trolley has to bridge. Under load, the screw lost its alignment so the trolley couldn't bridge the gap. I chose to replace the 14-year-old screw drive with a belt drive. Very satisfied with the new belt drive: Easy to install and adjust, and very quiet.

This replacement screw connection device just like OEM
It is just like picturedSimple fix for the broken connector that opens the door.It's the same as OEM. Quality is great simple to installThey will only break because of failed limit switch in the system. So if your replacing this part check the 2 distance limit switches they are probably the reason for this connector failure. Any installation questions check on you tube there are great instruction videos.

Perfect replacement
A broom handle got stuck in my garage door and after that the door failed to open or close. I thought I would need to replace the whole opener. But I ran across this screw drive carruage and thought it was worth a try. The unit fit perfectly and now the door opens and closes normally.

Great replacement part
Would have fixed the problem but the garage door opener screw drive couplers needed replaced also. Thought I only needed this part but also needed couplers. Put this part on door opened fine until it got to where the screw couples together then the door just dropped back shut. Don't feel like fixing the couplers just going to get a new opener.
