Good version
I primarily use this for changing colors on my Disney lightsaber and had bought this product after buying another very similar product, but that one was the OBO Hand model. This one is from a different manufacturer and fixes/works around the problems from the OBO Hands model. If someone is looking for an RFID writer that works with kyber crystals without issues, this one is the one to go. NOTE: when writing to a kyber krystal, the device will say it has failed to write to it, however it has overwritten the code on the crystal and works perfectly fine.

I had one like this before, but this one did not function properly. Bought another brand that worked perfectly.

Werks well - BUT
The device works well. However, there are almost no instructions about how to operate the software.Manufacturer does not offer any information about how to interface device with custom software.In fact, when offered a non-disclosure agreement they still refused.The existing software just isn't robust enough to use for our needs.

Note: This does NOT work with Galaxy's Edge Kyber Crystal
I initially bought this to allow rewriting of the Galaxy's Edge Kyber Crystal. This RFID reader / writer DOES work for that a single time. However, after successfully writing one time, it will no longer work & will fail every write attempt afterwards. This is a known issue with this brand. So, if you're buying it for that purpose, you're better off with a different option

Reads and writes encrypted card very quickly.
I've only found 2 reader/writer units on Amazon that actually work with their software and this one is one of them. It on only reads encrypted door entry cards very quickly but writes them almost instantaneously. Very pleased with the purpose I purchased it for.

Looks cool but that's about it.
While it claims it is multifunctional and does have a cool screen with what seems to be working software, it will not read any kind of card. It always gives a read error and even the supposedly included decrypting software is nowhere to be found.

Cheap. Works on some cards, not all the ones it claims to though. And very picky with where the device is touched
