Use it to replace "Lifetime" fluids if you want your car to last
I used it to replace the "lifetime" fluid in my manual transmission in my 43,000 mi. 2016 VW Golf. This is a babied car. It's not a commuter, is always driven gently (especially during warm-up). and sees nearly all highway miles. When it was brand new the car shifted like butter. Over time I noticed a change in how smooth it shifts, and also how it started shuddering when taking off from a dead stop (car always gets premium Chevron fuel and regular oil changes with RedLine, so it's definitely not an engine power loss issue). So I decided to change the transmission fluid using a proper synthetic oil such as this. I'm so glad I did. I immediately noticed the shudder went away, and it shifts buttery smooth again. Now I know some skeptics reading this might be thinking in the back of their mind "Could he REALLY tell a difference, or is it just wishful thinking, or the power of suggestion?" Consider this: I wanted to see if my wife noticed anything different. So I didn't express to her ANYTHING about my experience, or what I had specifically done to the car. She drove the car for the first time several days later with me in the passenger seat. Without being asked anything, she immediately expressed that she noticed the car shifts and drives smoother. Do yourself a favor. If you plan on keeping your car for the long haul, don't listen to the manufacturer when they say your vehicle has "lifetime fluid" that doesn't need to be changed. They say that for a marketing pitch to say their cars are cheaper to maintain. So what do they consider your car's "lifetime" to be? Around 120,000 miles; when they figure you're going to be upgrading anyways. But let's face it, not everyone wants to be enslaved to car payments, and a (good) modern car will easily run twice that distance with proper maintenance. So don't hesitate to take care of your car for the benefit of yourself, the environment, and its next owners. You'll have a more reliable, efficient, and enjoyable car; preserve all of the resources that went into manufacturing your car in the first place, and have more peace of mind too.
