Best Chess SetVicente Oak Wood Folding Mancala Board Game - 18 Inch

My husband and I bought this game to play together as I have very fond memories of playing this in elementary school. Turns out, it's easy enough for both my 7yo and 4yo to play! It's now a family favorite, brought out nearly nightly as a before bed treat. The board seems sturdy enough and well built enough to survive even the roughest of handling by my children, but good looking enough to bring out when family and friends visit. Best game purchase this last pandemic year!

Wasn't that impressed. The stones it came with vary in size which is annoying when you have a lot of them in your hand and you're trying to dump them one at a time. Also, the holes are not curved so you can't grab all the stones out with one hand when there is more than 5 stones. .

Our family plays this game daily. It’s a lot of fun. We did have to find a better set of instructions online but that was easy since it’s a well known game.This board is well made. It is solid wood with rounded square holes for the “seeds”. The glass “seeds” are a great size and you have plenty of room to store as many as you need to store to use strategies to win. I also love that it has a clasp to keep the game closed. No need to have a bag for the pieces they all stay inside.Nothing but good to say. We ended up loving this game so much we wanted a second one (we have a large family). We went to the local department store to get another one so we could have it THAT day, and we ended up only playing it one time because the quality was so poor. We had higher expectations because of this product we bought on amazon. It was taken back to the store!!Needless to say I’ll be purchasing another game board here and we will enjoy having family Mancala tournaments lol!

There we were, 75 miles down a lonely road at a campsite in South Ruby, Nevada. The weather turned bad for 2 solid days. My wife wanted to go hiking but getting a mix of snow/sleet/rain makes that a less-than-desirous outing. But we did carry quite a few mindless games and this was one of them. As a young boy, I spent many hours playing this game using pinto beans in an egg carton at summer camp. As a 60+ year old, I'm amazed this was legitimized into a very nicely crafted game. Trust me, the instructions are too easy and you'll get hours of fun playing this if you want something to do. A game typically lasts 10 to 15 minutes and can be played by any age from 7 to 90; even a 7 year old playing a 90 year old! Put it in your camping trailer and you won't regret it.

This was a great purchase for our family.The board is good quality - the wood is smooth, no splinters like I’ve seen complaints of in reviews for other products. The holes are plenty big for as many beads as we have ever gotten in them, and we’ve gotten them quite full.The latch holds tightly when we close up the game, and it stores neatly on a shelf.The beads are glass, and are small - my youngest can scoop a pretty big handful up at once. To store them, just put some into the holes and close the board.I read several reviews before purchasing this particular game, and I am very happy with my decision.
