Basically all the high end features plus more
This phone has most of the high end features of phones much more expensive plus it includes things like expandable memory via microSD and a headphone jack that most high end phones today are lacking. Really the only thing this phone does not feature that is pretty standard now is wireless charging, which I honestly never used on my last phone as it charges slower than wired charging. For the price this phone is really quick and the UW version even packs 6 gigs of RAM. The camera is perfectly acceptable and looked fine blown up on my big screen TV using screen grab. The screen is large and has a vivid display. The overall performance is pretty snappy considering the low price point.Really everything about this phone is pretty good to excellent, you wouldn't believe the quality based on the price, but it truly is a good phone.

DO NOT BUY
DO NOT BUY. Phone came with someone else information. Had to take to Verizon to have it cleared and turned on. Now phone only works when it wants. Wasted my money because I ended up having to buy something else to use.

This phone is faster than I thought it would be.....and I figured it'd be pretty quick.
I bought it pre owned. It's in pretty decent condition. No problems there. Phone is very fast, display looks good. Compared to my last phone, this one is amazingly fast for the money. Battery life seems above average even for it being used. The processor is snappy. Works with Verizon

First new phone in years, really like it
My older Samsung Galaxy S7 unexpectedly died, so I was in the market for a new phone. The current prices for phones is WAAAAAY more than seems reasonable to me - I need something for calling, texting, taking a few photos of the kids, and occasional web browsing. Not willing to pay $1000 for that! This phone was around $170 with tax when I purchased as a refurbished unit. After a month of ownership, I am really thrilled with the result. The 5G reception is ok and overall calling in our house is better than the old phone - here in the Hill Country of Texas, cell coverage is spotty at best. Battery life is outstanding and the facial recognition is a cool feature when it works. Doesn't like it when I have on sunglasses - which is all the time when outdoors, and even indoors in certain areas it will not unlock. Not a big deal, I'm used to entering a pin.All other features are what you'd expect, or I haven't bothered to try them. Camera is better than the old one as would be expected after 5-6 years of improvements. Overall, I feel this in an excellent value and would absolutely purchase again and recommend to my friends. Even has me thinking that I'll try another upgrade in a few years just to keep this one as a working backup.

Excellent value for a Verizon locked 5G phone
I've been pleasantly surprised by the Samsung A line of phones. I needed a cheap upgrade to a 5G phone and picked this one up for less than $200.It has biometrics, 5G, and functions pretty much the same as the more expensive Samsung S products. Coming from a Note 8 to an A51 to the S22 Ultra (the carrier didn't work out for me so I turned it back in) to now the A71 5G, it's been perfectly functional to me. The only thing I've missed is the S-pen app and wireless charging. Neither is a deal breaker. It's a budget phone worth looking at. It even screen mirrors despite Samung not offering that function on newer phones.NOTE: This Verizon phone is slightly different than the regular A71 5G. I bought this phone and a case not realizing that. The case did not fit the phone properly. Even though it is the same size, the volume buttons are placed differently than the regular A71 5G. Keep that in mind when looking for a case. You're going to want to search for "A71 5G UW" when looking for a case. I've noticed that Amazon has a limited selection of cases that will fit this phone and the search does not come up exclusive to the "UW" part, so do you due dilligence and verify that before buying the case.Did I mention that this is a great phone at a budget price?

Screen way too dim when activating
My Samsung Galaxy A71 5G LTE arrived and looked brand new. It was however by far the WORST EXPERIENCE I'VE EVER HAD SETTING IT UP. The problem was the screen was very, very dim and I was not able to get into "Settings" to fix it. I discovered the "brightness" setting was at the lowest possible level, making it SUPER DIFFICULT to see when going through all of the steps required to get to a point where I could access "Settings." I have not yet finished connecting it to my Verizon account because of some other matters being more important right now. I hope doing the final steps will be as easy as it was when I activated other phones. More reactions from me after that happens. The 3 star rating is for this problem. I don't know if that was something that existed because the phone was refurbished because I've never had that happen when activating any other phone.

Very good value
This comes with Android 11 but updates, automatically, to 12 and then 13.It's got a big (6.7"), bright, beautiful screen and while not quite as fast as the latest phones, is still plenty fast.It has 5g and 6gb ram and 128gb memory. And it has a headphone jack, that I love. The battery will last a long time if you keep it between 20% and 80%, using a battery alarm app.And if you use a charger with higher wattage, say 18-25 watts, it will charge astoundingly quickly. (Just do NOT charge over 80%. You can limit this in settings.)I own 2 of these and have recommended to friends. It's such a great deal that Samsung has stopped offering the A70 series. It competes too closely with the S23 etc., at a small fraction of the cost.(And it has a headphone jack! 😉)
