What a brilliant innovative idea this hip seat is, so much better and easier to carry your baby without causing musculoskeletal problems, especially after birth when the ligaments in your back are very loose and it’s easy to injure yourself and give you life long back problems if you’re not careful (I speak from experience...).The seat is made from very robust canvas in a lovely dove grey colour. Everything is extremely robust as you would expect and safety has been designed into the product, so as well as a thick velcro strap that fastens around the waist, there’s is also a very thick webbing strap with a large plastic clip fastening, so if for any reason the velcro fails you have a fail safe back up. Both the velcro waist strap and the webbed safety strap are very adjustable, ranging from approximately 34 inches at the smallest point up to approximately 46 inches at the largest point, so a decent size range, particularly important postpartum. I also love the removable pad inside at the front where your tummy is, as it helps support those muscles that have stretched during pregnancy and also useful for stability post caesarian.The hip seat is lightweight to wear, as the seat element is made of a polystyrene shaped block, which is enclosed by the zip, so it can be removed to hand wash or spot clean (it can’t go in the washing machine or tumble dryer). The various pockets are also very useful. This hip seat is fab for a whole variety of uses, especially as you can sit your baby in four different supported positions. I guess you could also use with a baby carrier, as it would give an extra support o your back by taking the pressure off.So this a really high quality and useful product,which I think gives great health benefits to parents carrying babies Nige certainly not seen anything like this before. You might feel a bit odd wearing it out and about, but after a while you won’t think anything about it, part from how great it is and how much better your back feels! At £40 it’s not cheap, but in my view definitely worth the investment to help protect your back. Recommended.

Baby hip seat carrier.Packaged well. Arrived in a clear plastic bag.Brilliant design. An all grey, wide, padded, adjustable waist strap. This is 138cm fully open. It's 12cm high. There is a long Velcro strip to do the waist strap up, then an additional clip strap on top for extra security. This is all made well, the stitching is all done good, no loose threads.Where the hip seat rests on your body, on the inner side, is a removable or adjustable pressure relief pad. You can move this up and down to suit your comfort. This is especially useful if you've had a cesarean.There are 3 pockets on the waist strap -• One is a zip up, pop out pocket, this also has a flap style pocket on it's front. This is a decent size.• There is a pocket that does up via two poppers, this folds out so you can fit a bottle within it.• The third pocket is zip up, this is quite a bit size on the front of the seat.The seat is removable via a hidden zip for easy cleaning of the hip seat carrier. The top part of the seat is adjustable.Unlike some others I've tried, this carrier doesn't dig in from below the seat. There is no uncomfortable pressure anywhere. It feels nice and secure, baring the weight well.This is useful for quite a long time. You can use it at the front for younger babies and then at the side as they get older.Its such a handy design, the pockets are great, especially the bottle one. The whole carrier feels nice and secure on.I would recommend this. I think it is definitely worth the money. Brilliant, well made design.

Totally love this baby carrier. It is made from great material and really well made. The harness is super easy to use and put on and take off when required. It is also easy enough to single handedly place the child in the carrier and take out.For the child it seems really comfy, also you get to keep them close to you. The pockets are super handy for baby wipes, dummies etc.Really like this product. Would recommend.

This carries is well made, the materials well sewn and overall gives a lot of stability and security.It has two closures: a large part in velcro and an external buckle. Both are adjustable.The pocket on the side is very good for smartphones, keys, and money.I find it very useful to carry my little one, which is 9 months, at home, when he has enough playing on his own. It is also very useful with my eldest which is three, when we are out and he gets tired of walking I take him in my arms.However, it is not like a full baby carrier, so you would need to be able to use at least one of your arms to hug your child keeping him safe and then it is a bit bulky to carry it when not in use. However, if you often need to hold your child in your arms and want to work less, I recommend it.

It is not suitable for my kid. He is 13 months and curious about everything, he wouldn't stand still carrying him on the hip. Maybe for younger or calmer kids would be fine. It is comfortable to wear, just not safe for my kid at this stage.

This is great! Its so easy to use right out of the packet. There are several ways to wear it and each of them definitely helps to take the strain off your bank whilst holding a baby. it's such a good idea! It looks good too, coming in an elegant grey colour.

Ive already got something like this for my cousin who had a baby and its about £20 more but way better quality then this its the actual seat pad i feel like it should have been alot more firmer then it is would be easier to hold the weight if i didnt have the other one to compare to i might have thought ok but no it doesn't feel as safe to meItd a good idea anyone with children know how tiring it can get holding the child this seat allows the pressure to be lifted can be sat faced forward and back with that being said theres no actual support you have to make sure that you are always supporting the child
