Understanding yourself and those around you
This book is a fast and easy read distilling much of the same information you would receive from a thick text book. I highly recommend downloading this book, not only to grasp an understanding of those around us, but to better understand ourselves and why we behave in the ways we do.

Good information presented casually!
What appealed to me immediately was the casual nature of the writing considering the subject. It felt much more like a "talk" than a "lecture" if that makes sense. Obviously this means nothing if the information it's conveying isn't both interesting and informative but in this case I found it to be both! What you walk away with here isn't a guide to reading people, or worse manipulating them, but a good groundwork for fine tuning your perception of other's subconscious signals that they're broadcasting- if you know how to spot them. While it does discuss "tells" (that are generally clear once observed repeatedly) the author is quick to point out that aside from these proven indicators the same signals that could indicate deceit could also indicate other emotions as well. It's important to be reminded of this, especially when you are newly armed with this knowledge and excited to test it out. After reading this you should be in a better position to analyze these signals, know what to look for, and why exactly we broadcast them in the first place.Interesting book with a voice that strikes a nice balance between a textbook and a "fun read" very nicely. I would gladly read future titles!

Good read
I’m learning more about myself while gaining the tools to engage better with others. Solid book. I recommend if you’re an introvert, quiet observer or looking to gain some insight to how people might view you.

The Average Psychology Book
This book was well-written, fast-paced, and flowed well. I had previously read similar material. Additionally, the examples in the book were too generic and not realistic. Patrick King gave an example of someone who played the blame game for their failures in life. Throughout their lives, many people struggled due to encountering mean-spirited individuals. In my experience, I have worked for incompetent supervisors, managers, and team leaders. It was a so-so read. The content of the book did not offer anything revolutionary. A person would read about this in a psychology book.

Perfect
Perfect short book giving a basic understanding of psychology to give one an emphatic view on the people around them. I read this in 4 days but I am also very enamored with psychology.

Very informative, Useful & Well Written
The book tackles a very complex topic in a very organized, clear and incisive way. It offers great insight and useful information and points of view on understanding and dealing with yourself and others. Bear in mind that complex matters are not easily understood, are not formulaic, and that knowledge is still evolving. The other thing notable: The writing is very clear and chapter summaries, repeated at the end of the book, are very useful as a learning aid. I wish most texts would follow this example.

Great book
I actually put in practice some of the things mentioned in the book, such as, reading body language, gestures and macro expressions. They work! It was a great book and I strongly recommend it to anyone trying to gain a deeper knowledge on people’s behavior, motivations and words.
