almost an exact replacement for 28 year old fan
I have a Heat-N-Glo fireplace in my 28 year old house. The original fireplace blower fan recently stopped working. I assumed that would be the end... So I was very happy to see that Amazon sells almost exactly the same fan.Technically, it's the same fan. The model number is the same. The fan looks exactly the same. But the original fan had a two blade, non-polarized plug. This one has a 3 prong, grounded plug.I bought just the fan and plug since my fireplace already has the thermostat and speed control. The only thing I had to do was convert the plug style. The fan works perfectly. I think it might be quieter than the original, or it might be that I installed this one correctly so that it avoids the air turbulence that caused noise with the original fan.I saw another review that indicated theirs was broken when it came. Mine was packed securely in foam. So it was completely intact without even a scratch.

Quick and simple-- solved our noise issues
This was basically a direct, drop-in replacement for a 25+ year old gas fireplace. The original fan was a rattly mess. I'd removed it, cleaned it, lubed it, replaced the rubber feet, etc. over the past few years but it still rattled. Once I removed it completely today and powered it up on a countertop I could see why; it looks like the bearings are failing on one side so it's gonna rattle. This unit came with a grounded power cord and prepared for direct wiring. It took perhaps ten minutes total to replace it, another five to remove/clean the glass, and then it all went back together in a flash. It's very quiet and seems to pump more air on high than the original unit. That said, I'm running it at about 2/3 speed to keep the overall noise level down-- but no rattles.I wish I'd just done this a few years ago. Cheap, simple, and quick. If it lasts even 1/4 as long as the original it will be a great deal.

Works as expected.
We have been without a blower on our wood/coal stove for a few years. Mainly just because we were able to keep the house warm enough without it. But last winter we started to dry laundry on a rake in front of the stove and missed having the blower to shorten the drying time. And after a couple of really cold nights tis month we decided to replace the old blower that had stopped working.I picked this particular blower because it stated you could change the direction that the air blows. Which I knew I would have to do because with our stove the air has to blow upwards and around the inside then out the front of the stove. To change the direction you will need to pull the blower wheel out. To do this you will need a pair of needle nose plyers to take the spring clamp off the blower wheel. After that was removed I used some locking plyers, with a light grip on the plastic blower wheel and just wiggled it up and down and pulled gently to remove it. Remember which side is the outside so you can put it back in correctly. I then used a 1/4" nut driver to remove the screws that hold the outer part of the blower in place. Rotate until it is blowing the way you need it to and reattach. Repeat for the other side.I did have to drill new mounting holes because they were different on the new blower. The blower is light weight so I only used the top 2 screw locations to mount it. I removed the rubber feet and just mounted it directly metal to metal.I wired it up to the plug-in cord that it came with and it works great! It runs very smooth and is not as loud as the old blower. As I write this my wife has a batch of laundry on a rake drying. I am very happy with this blower itself, but it would of been nice to have some instructions and not have to figure everything out for myself. The blower wheels are plastic, I am hoping they will hold up.

The pillow shams are not included.
It's a pretty comforter however I'm very disappointed that there are NO SHAMS. It would be nice if they changed the description mentioned that. They need to change update the photo as well. .

This one is junk. I have had it for less than two months and the bearings are already shot
This is my third fan in 15 years so I usually get five years from one. More fan speed than my last one by far. Installs easily as a replacement. This one is on rubber feet instead of magnetic like all the other ones so time will tell if that’s a good design.
