The Best Tasting Kimchi Paste (Gochujang) We Have Found!
A convenient and very tasty seasoning in a glass jar! Keeps the product fresh, tightly sealed... and your refrigerator won't smell. We tried several sauce brands and even sampled several brands of chili flakes to make our own. We found Mother-In-Law's is by far the most authentic, enjoyable, and consistent kimchi seasoning. Layers of marvelous complex flavors with a pleasant spiciness (not volcanic heat). We use it for a variety of kimchi styles and as a cooking sauce as well. Yum!These days in America, Korean food is having its moment under the sun. Consequently, there are a bazillion kimchi seasonings on the market. Food neurotics will obsessively inspect the jar label to ensure only "don't panic, it's organic" ingredients. We don't want a chemistry set in a jar, but we've found that most sauces and pastes have one or two ingredients that might raise the eyebrows of the vegan or gluten free crowd. We've enjoyed this kimchi paste many, many times... and thus far haven't wound up in the hospital.Having lived and worked in South Korea, we wanted to recreate many of the fine dishes we ate daily. Now at home, we've tried several available jarred pastes, as well as sauces in plastic tubs (popular but unreliable containers that often seal poorly & crack). We also purchased a few brands of ground chili flakes to make our own kimchi paste from scratch. The best tasting and most authentic (and convenient) results have come from Mother-In-Law's Kimchi Paste. Reasonably priced and now available at some supermarkets and on Amazon, try a jar of this delicious and handy sauce... you'll be glad you did.

Yes!
Spicy but won't burn you face off. Very flavorful. I love to add it to ramen.

I love the quality of this product. When I shop at Asian store, most of the Korean fermented chili pastes have corn syrup solids added to it in some form or another. This one has none of that stuff. Great quality, tastes very good. More expensive than others by a long shot. I admit. But it lasts a long time in fridge. I use it once or twice a week in dishes and I always have a plant based kimchi on hand. Love it, and the other flavors made in this small family based business. And I love to support this type of family based business when I can.

I love this!
I saw this brand and I’m so glad I purchased. It adds that umph to my Asian dishes. The taste is great alone. The quality is nice and the texture is nice. The heat level is mild so not over powering. I love the outer cover is very appealing. Definitely a little goes a long ways. I use it mostly to make homemade hoisin sauce.

Not the best I've had, but it's worth the price.
Care was taken in the preparation of this product, probably out of traditional practices. This is pretty good, not real hot, but an after bite that lets you know you ate it.I feel that it compliments many foods that traditionally would benefit from this type of product, but it's not going to wow a lot of people.Update: After being out for eight months, I purchased another jar.
