Best French press I have owned. Durable and stylish, super easy to clean.

Bought this for my Son and Daughter in law and they love it!

So, I've always owned a Bodum French Press (still do) for making tea and I was looking for something that would be more sturdy than the Bodum glass. This definitely is that. The stoneware of this press is great, the finish and color are awesome, just what I hoped for. The only area that the Bodum still shines above the Le Creuset is in the filtering. The stainless screen works great as a main filter/press, however the spout on the Le Creuset has none where the Bodum has a secondary filter to catch whatever particles escape through. This is definitely not a deal killer, I still like them both but the Bodum is just a bit better at filtering than the Le Creuset.

To be honest, I was expecting a high quality press from LeCreuset. What I received instead is a press with an ill fitting screen that spills coffee and grounds out of the spout while pushing plunger to the bottom. The other issue I have is, no matter how fast or slow I pour the coffee, it runs down the outside from the spout onto the table or counter. I should not have this much cleaning up, Before! my first cup of coffee. Unfortunately I threw out the box expecting nothing but the highest quality from this brand. I will be purchasing a Bodum press in the very near future.

This was a genuine le creuset french press new, in New packaging. Roughly the same price as le creuset, but I was able to get the color I wanted, and much faster. All around happy.

It's really pretty, and durable, but, it doesn't keep my coffee warm for very long. My stainless steel french press, that was only about $25, does a better job of that. So I was a little disappointed, given the price of this one. So I use it for cold press coffee instead.

I received this as a gift. Each time I use it I end up with grounds in my coffee cup! I have tried adjusting the screen, plunging more slowly, and I don’t use fine ground coffee. Makes good tasting coffee but I have to pour the coffee through a strainer into my cup. Would not recommend.
