Q: I am currently using 75’ of rg6 for my uniden sds200 scanner. will this help with improving signal strength?

RG6 is 75 Ohm as stated and will have a slight impedance mismatch with your scanner's antenna connector, most of which are designed for 50 Ohm cable input. However the slight loss due to mismatch is insignificant and of no real consequence in your receiving application. 75 Ohm coaxial cable is used in TV and CATV applications because it's far less lossy than typical 50 Ohm cable of the same physical size. However 50 Ohm cable is able to handle more power than 75 Ohm cable of roughly the same size - which does matter in transmitter applications.

Q: Is there an option to put UHF connectors on instead?

Q: Is there a version with PL-259 connectors?

It can be ordered I'd image, however PL-259 connectors are not recommended on frequencies above 150mhz, they have losses and their impedance is not uniform, that is reason for Type N, they are good for UHF and above freqs..

Q: Is the center conductor on this cable solid or stranded?
