Very well-designed Inverter.
I chose this inverter because it has a true sin output and is less likely to damage equipment. I used it for a 600W vacuum cleaner and a wet vac at 820W. This device works very well. My wet vac actually exceeded the max surge of 2400W. The device shut down and triggered a fault indicator and after a couple of seconds it performed a slow startup. This reduced the surge to well under the maximum rating and successfully operated the wet vac at 820W. Very impressive engineering!

Low output (my brain is low output) EDIT
May 2024: So. The MPPT no longer works but the inverter part still does. I question if this product just isn’t some rebranded junk style. The MPPT connections positive and negative are way to close to each other. The battery connections are SAE while the rest of the world is metric. Physical design is second rate. The brand seems to have a great reputation but peddling low cost products like this seems out of place so I wonder if I can trust buying higher priced products from this company.April 2024: well. This is not pure sine wave so of course it will not run amp eating motors. The inverter shuts off when starting a saw or compressor. However, when it automatically powers back up it will surge peak and get the saw and compressor to start up. Very surprised. No intention of using the inverter this way on a regular basis but it’s nice when I’m running lights to be able to fire up a machine when not feeling like plugging into generator or sine wave inverter. Good product. Not sure if this 1200 watt has no guts and couldn’t even power a makita compound saw or if my other Ampinvt 1200 inverter is just a beast that can do that and more.Due to its size and weight, I suspect this inverter is overrated at 1200 watts. It lacks start up ooomph.

A WORKHORSE for 9 months now
I've used this inverter as the primary power unit in my camper-converted 4Runner for over 9 months now. It has functioned flawlessly. Fans only kick on in hotter climates or when I really put a load on the unit (tea kettle/fridge) of upwards of 800W. There is no Lithium setting which I wish was available as I read from the manufacturer to set the unit to "Gel" which makes me feel I'm not getting the best possible performance from the unit. The only reason this is not a five star review is because there is a SLIGHT buzzing sound which emits from the AC outlets as if the connection is mildly loose. Jiggling the plug usually fixes the buzzing. Overall a great inverter for the price!

Awesome for Hurricane season!
I am currently using this power inverter in my 2015 Toyota Prius. It works wonderfully. I am getting ready for hurricane season because last year (2017) we were out of power for 8 loooong days, and I don't want that to have to sleep in this Florida heat with no A.C or a working fridge again.I have tested this power converter with almost everything that I am planning to run during hurricane season, except for the fridge lol. I will post later if it works or not. If not, I can get a "smart" UPS and that will take care of the electrical current coming from the power converter.I strongly recommend to get a USB powered fan that you can leave in the car. why? because this unit has a USB port where you can plug it in and it will help to keep the power inverter cool while you have it running in your car with the windows closed in the middle of a hurricane.I have even plugged in my gaming PC (1000W power supply in the PC) and left it running for 6 hours and it works just fine!. Didn't even got hot thanks to the USB fan I plugged in.I love the little remote that comes with it. Too bad the cord is not long enough for me. My next step is to get an extension cord and test it too see if works. Will update when I have the time to do that.

Great way to power amplifiers for outdoor music when there are no outlets to plug into.
I played guitar and sang for a gig where there was no power. That was difficult and they wanted us to play for at least 2 more dates. I decided to look for an inverter and found this one which had more features than I expected and the price was reasonable. So I decided to try it. It works GREAT! I was able to power an amplifier and mixer for 2 hours (probably a lot more) with a single deep cycle battery. Considering this unit comes with a regulator for solar panels I'm considering getting those too for even more/longer power when there is sun. So far excellent.

good fit and finish just didn't last more than a few hours , simple component fail I believe
the reason for the one star is I only used this unit a few hours and started having problems with the solar controllerI use a lead acid deep cycle battery and I have a 100 watt solar panel and I bought this inverter to eliminate toting aroundand extra part like a separate controller for tent camping , I have to use a bi-pap machine at night to sleep and all andthought this was great lil unit to have , but a few hours in my trip the red light on the voltage gauge started flashing andwasn't charging my battery so I clicked the switch to gel and that worked for about an hour then it happened againso I borrowed a fully charged battery to get me thru the night , the next day I checked everything and all was good with connectionsect , and later that night the inverter wouldn't come on , so in short I think the issue was the solar controller issues giving afalse reading to the controller of low voltage to a inverter that has auto shut down is the issue there .. But in all fairness the fitand finish of the unit was top notch , and to be honest I think it was a simple component fail and we all know where a lot of these componentsare made these days , I am trying another one and will post more after I get a new one
